Well looks like our D is stacked, almost everyone is at least and 80 or above. Surprises me that Junior is rated higher than Thomas but oh well. Should be fun to have the Fins in Madden this year as they are the highest rated team at an 88 along with the Bucs. Both defenses are a 91 also.

Please dont ask how I got the ratings. At Maddennation we have an agreement with our partner and I am not allowed to reveal details. Thank you and enjoy.

Sammy Knight is an 88?? In 2002 Madden, he was a 96 or something..

I'm sure Lewis will have 99 and maybe urlacher since Madden is on love with him.

I don't think anybody should be rated a 99. Not anyone from any team. 99 means perfect, and there is never going to be a perfect player....ever.

I do think Nails got shafted, he should have been at least in the 80s with a mediocre injury rating, but I don't make the game.

My biggest disapointment is Nails being a 74....the same rating as Perry. He had an awesome year. He should be a at least 87.

I also wish Knight and Marion had better ratings. Marion about 90 and Knight 94.

I have to confess my ignorance as the last console I spent any significant time with is ye olde original NES, but are there any updates the player ratings throughout the season?

It seems ridiculous that pre-season predfictions define how the games play throughout the season. We look at the season previews from any particular year and they are so ridiculous that they're laughable in hindsight.

Especially considering the internet capabilities of the new consoles, is there anyone working on making season updates that approximate the current performance of players and teams? A mod file, change a couple of resource forks. It seems rather simple. That would make me buy a console...

Is this already available?

I just want to see Eddie Moore, Oronde Gadsden, and JR Tolver's ratings. Bruce if you have a chance can you post these as well.

One more thing can you post Mike McMahon's over all rating (Detroit Lions Back Up QB)

Oh yeah how about Mare? Royals? and Charlie Rogers at KR/PR?

my opinion on the 99 rating this is this. 99 is not perfect, 100 is, so your right no one is perfect thats why they rate you 99 and not 100, still room for error. With that philosophy, there are many players worth 99 who have little room for error. JT is an all around pass rusher and an exceptional pass rusher, he only led the lead in sacks and had a legitimate shot at the sack record. RW only led the league in rushing and had a couple 200 yard games and also has good hands for a HB. Those are two guys on this team i think deserve 99 or alteast 98 rating for RW...lets c what rating Vick gets.

I am also upset seeing Fletcher being rated higher than T-Buck.....

Bruce,
You have started what appears to be a dynamite thread; but to be honest with you...I could've used more cowbell.

Babies, before this year is over, the Phins will all be wearing gold plated diapers.

In 2002 Knight was rated 90, not a big slip

I don't even think they will have Eddie Moore, Tolvr or any of the rookies in this will they? Last year they failed to put in McMicheal but did put in McKinney (although he didn't have a name just a number) I wonder if the put any of those rookies in at all.

There is one rating that sticks out as terrible, and that is Nails being a 74 when he was our best offensive linemen last year.

Some more stupidity:
Having Madison better than Surtain
Having Seau better than Thomas

I think Nails & Buckley got ripped off....theyre better than that....J.Williams is a little high, but thats cool...and RW got ripped off by a point...shouldve been 98.

Yeah they will. Strauser (Maddens Producer) said that they know about 49 players that will make every NFL team, but they have to guess on the last 5 or 6 (maybe even more some years for some teams) because they do not know for a fact who will make cuts after Training Camp and Pre-Season. Last year they didn't think Ogunleye nor McMichael would make this team. These two guys will be in the game though. I can almost guarantee it.

This year in Madden there is no team under a 76 overlal rating (Cardinals) because teams are going to be more even like they are in real life....any team can win on any given Sunday, and every year there is that oen team that everyone says sucks but still mkas playoffs.

Ricky fumbles too much to be a 99. I say he's good where he's at. I'm more surprised that Fiedler has a higher ranking than Griese. Griese is a good QB. He got a raw deal in Denver.....Time will prove it though, Plummer's going to suck as always and Shanny will be out of a job.

Any word on the Pats rankings? I'm sure they'll end up getting shafted again but I'd like to know how bad.

Also when do the in-season roster updates usually become available and where to you go to get them? And how are they downloaded to the PS2?

Griese a better QB? He had an amazing O-line, RB, and WRs for a few years all while having a solid defense and still couldnt do anything....

I buy the PC version, I can play it online much easier than I could PS2 even though I would have to sacrifice some graphics, and downloading updates are easier that way....

Maggot your right, it is dynamite, and it could have used a little more cowbell, I guess im just being a little selfish.

Hopefully the fins will be wearing those gold plated diapers all the way to the superbowl this year.

Dude, I am quite sure no Rb was rated a 99.

Ricky was tied for first if I'm not mistaken with Marshall and Priest at 97.

BE HAPPY. :D

I'm glad Fiedler is finally getting some respect. He deserves it after always being rated in the mid 70s.

Oh BTW...a player not in ther

is Oronde Gadsden rated 79. Our 4th string WR is rated better than our 2nd and third (75,74)

AngryDolphins
07-31-2003, 12:45 PM
So OG will be the 2nd starting WR?

Prime Time

No...he is listed at 4th string WR, but is rated 79.

They talked about Madden on around the horn and said....

Michael Holley and Jay Marrioti said it was better then going to a real life game because you can give dreadlocks to players (like Holley has) set ticket prices, roster bonuses etc.

Woody Paige said he prefers a real life game.

I want MADDEN NOW!

AngryDolphins
08-03-2003, 10:35 AM
Yea I saw that too Prime..have you noticed that when Vick was runing to the left and when he was set to pass the camera also turns to the right. This is good because we can see those WR better.

Prime Time
08-03-2003, 02:04 PM
Yeah also I saw it on Around The Horn's clips and I heard it at MaddenNation that in the game this year they have the real QB drop back....if you throw when you are on your back foot (bad technique) 7/10 times it will be picked off. So you cannot throw off your back foot when dropping back...awesome detail.

AngryDolphins
08-03-2003, 02:06 PM
Cool....for Lucas in the game it will be picked up 10/10 times.
