The Bears signed first-round pick TE Greg Olsen to a five-year contract on Tuesday.

The University of Miami product is expected to be a solid fantasy tight end once he develops. However, he’ll start out behind the well-rounded Desmond Clark on the depth chart. John Gilmore, who is a superior blocker, might even get more snaps than the rookie early on.

I am interested to see what that report bonus is going to cause. I know it is a bonus if they report to camp. But I wonder if it will have ripple effects for example on those players that like to train together at the U. And if it will stop that in the future.

the alums still show up, let the ones that already have the millions carry the load for a year or so.

We're really revolutionizing this draft pick thin. We got everybody to good, tight, fair deals as opposed to these ridiculous 49er deals where everyone is on 4 billion dollar contacts. We had 5 rookies signed before anyone else in the NFL had two signed. Now we have our whole team sorted for camp.
