I am bored at work, so I was just wondering if people had a favorite in game movie sequence. I figured we could post clips of them if we could find them.

Like the assault on the city in Final Fantasy X I thought kicked ***, but the opening movie in Onimusha 3 is probably my favorite sequence. I'll have to look for them both when I can search youtube.

This is just a way for people to waste time arguing about little things I suppose.

I always liked the cinema from Final Fantasy VII when Cloud lets go of Aeris in the pool, and watches her sink into nothing.

The ones in Madden 07's Superstar mode where it shows the same stadium pillar in between every single play. God I love you Denver Broncos section 32A pillar.

My favorite is easily the final scene in Splinter Cell Double Agent for the ORIGINAL XBOX. I've played both the original and 360 versions and not only are they entirely different games - they also end completely differently.

In the version I've listed here's how the scene plays out (If I had a vid I'd ABSOLUTELY POST IT). Sam defeats Dufraisne on a NYC skyscraper rooftop in the midst of a severe blizzard. Enrica appears then yells for Sam who screams at her to get inside. She goes to run to him but is taken down by a sniper's bullet at the order of Williams of the NSA. Sam runs to her to find her dead. He screams then while on his knees he just falls back to allow the snow to completely cover him. The Splinter Cell that fired the shot that killed Enrica moves forward to investigate her body at which point Sam springs up - flinging snow everywhere. He grabs the agent from behind then cuts his throat splattering blood onto the snow. A prelude to the story to come Sam then takes his Ka-Bar combat knife and cuts the subdermal implant out of his own ear throwing it onto the ground. From here on he is a fugitive and highly wanted man. HARDCORE - while the 360 version is overall better this ending completely dominates the ending on 360.

After posting this originally I found the video on YouTube. Unfortunately the guy didn't have audio to accompany the scene but it's still fantastic. He's playing the PS2 version which looks quite a bit easier to beat than the XBOX version but in any case it wasn't all that hard. If someone else can find a mic'd up version let me know.

That is absolutely crazy you'd post this here. I've owned this game for awhile and clearly remember thinking that this cutscene was right up there with the most climatic in the biz. Unfortunately the game is simply too one-dimensional. That is in-fact Kill.Switch is it not?

I CHALLENGE ANYONE ANYWHERE TO EVER FOLLOW THAT STORYLINE. I have tried and tried and have never been able to - it has actually been called impossible on more than one occasion (one I remember being on X-Play on G4).

I would have to say the cut scenes from Soul Reaver one and two, and Legacy of Kain: Defiance. The cut scenes may not be on par with the next gen consoles, but the voice acting is superb, and by the time number two came out the lip syncing on the characters was excellent. Granted the actual storyline will make your head hurt.

But check this out its the ending to the first Soul Reaver

Here is the in gmae intro to Soul Reaver 2

Here is some cut scenes from Legacy of Kain: Defiance

But you see the game graphics did evolve and the cut scenes are very much like that of Halo where they used the game play engine to do the cut scenes

Any cut scene in Gears of War that features the Cole Train would be in my top 5! Cole is one funny mofo!

Some of the cut-scenes from the original Halo were classic. Like the one where Master Chief "returns" the bomb by riding it through space to the Covenant ship. The secret ending with the marine hugging an elite before everything explodes was pretty cool.

They did keep you guessing for most of the game though before they gave you enough to figure it out.
