For those that are interested, tomorrow is "Bungie Day" apparently it has a "rich history" that I'm unaware of. Maybe the Mor can clue us in, because I'm not intrigued enough to research it. But Bungie announced they'll have special content available for download tomorrow only to celebrate Bungie Day.

July 7th has come to be known as "Bungie Day" amongst our fan community and this year is extra special on account of it actually falling in a year ending with 7. If you're new to our fan community, do some digging to find out the rich history of Bungie and the number 7 and you'll see why 7/7/07 has special meaning within our family.

Lukems and the Bungie.net team have some cool things lined up for the site tomorrow but we also managed to pull a few strings to make some extra special content available on Xbox 360 Marketplace. I won't spoil the fun and tell you exactly what it is (don't get too excited, it's not Halo 3 - think something of a more decorative nature) but I did want to give you a heads-up that these commemorative goodies are ONLY available on 7/7/07 and then they are gone forever.

Log on to Marketplace any time starting at 12:01 AM PDT on July 7th and get it while you can. Once the clock strikes midnight on Saturday, this content is gone forever. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Spread the word throughout the Bungie community and join us on Marketplace and Bungie.net tomorrow for good times. And we wouldn't have a "Bungie Day" without our loyal fans who have stuck by us for so long. Thanks for all of your support and here's to 2007 - the best year yet in the history of Bungie Studios and our fan community!

Well, don't get your panties in a bunch, with all the response this thread got I hope you didn't all wait up til 3am to download the garbage they released. I got it this morning. It's a free theme+gamerpic pack and they're all pretty much gay.

I downloaded it a minute ago. Not sure why you'd wait up until 3am when you have all day to download it.

yeah I didnt much care for what they released either. I was all thinking that it was going to be a killer new Halo 3 theme, hell it was even under a Halo 3 banner in the download section, and all I got was some crappy theme and a crappy gamer pic pack. So I deleted it.

I'd be interested in knowing how many halo fanboys stayed up to DL it...? Especially East Coasters, although it would be a better alternative for them to just wake up early, rather than stay up late (5am).

LOL!!! Dont get me wrong I am a Halo fan boy, but the only time I have waited up for anything to be avalible on the Market place is when it is mulitplayer maps. Hell I work till three in the morning (mountian) and I didnt even knwo about that thing until I got home from work. So I would assume that there were a TONof fan boys who waited up. Seeing has how Bungie has been releaseing screen shots left and right all week.
