I've made a few posts asking questions about the 360, well I've got a new question :D

Microsoft extended their warranty to 3 years, is this on previously purchased 360s? A guy is trying to sell me his and he thinks that his warranty is extended. Is this true?

Thanks a lot guys.

I'm 99.9% sure it covers all 360s(your 360 will have a birthdate on the back by the way).

Really appreciate it, thanks.

My system has been fine so far, had it since April 2. I never bought the warranty, so does this mean I'm covered?

Yes, it's a manufacturer's warranty, like you get with most any electronic device.

One question here- Does anyone know if this warranty extends in to the future? If I were to buy a 360 in a couple months would it still apply or is it only on consoles that have already been sold?

I think it's a retroactive warranty, that covers 360's from here on out as well. If it didn't, you'd be better off getting a 1 year old one, which wouldn't make any sense.

it is retroactive to all machines from what the letter says. it also says it will reimburse (sp?) anyone who had to pay for this fix before now!!!

I know, I paid $55 for an extended warranty at GameStop, and it was an easy exchange when my 360 crapped out. But I somewhat doubt they would reimburse me the $55. :(

yeah, you paid for a GameStop warranty, not an Microsoft warranty

Well at the time it was a good idea.

Hmmm, not bad to hear then. Though my interest sure is peaked to get a PS3 with the 100 dollar price drop

The only thing that would scare me would be coming home and finding out it was a moded/banned system.
