seriously. i was playing UEFA for a good 3-4 hours then it says "disc is unreadable. clean with cloth and try again."

so i take the disc out and theres a crack from the center of the disc to about halfway to the outside of the disc. wtf

sounds more like a manufacture defect on the disk....

This is a decently common occurance with the 360

I had a faulty 360 that needed replaced, and I think that it ruined two of my games. I generally take good care of my games, but my Madden and NCAA games are so scratched that I get the disc error message every time I put them in now. I've never had any crack on me though.

Thats what happens when you have a 360.

That sucks. May I recommend trying Winning Eleven Soccer?

I had a customer return Gears of War the other day and it had a spiral scratch right in the middle of the disk. It didn't seem to be the type of thing that could be done by carelessness.

If your XBox isnt stable during gameplay the CD laser readers can slip and cause a "death spiral" on the CD making it unreadable. Just looks like a spiral scratch as Mega said.
Shouldnt be an issue if you can stabilize your platform though. Make sure its not rocking around on flimsy pieces of furniture or that your not jumping around by it if its on the floor, that kind of thing.

An actual crack though? That sounds odd.

I don't know if you have a 360 but that isn't uncommon to happen I know many people that have had that happen and we all know about the Red Rings of Death and the over 1 billion dollars Microsoft has spent fixing 360s. So yes that is what happens when you own a 360.
