Right when you think it can't happened to you, it happened to me. I got the Xbox360 red rings of death. :boohoo::boohoo:

For some reason I get only 2 flashing red rings of death after playing my games for a while. The Xbox 360 still works and plays my games but sometimes after playing for about 10 minutes, the screen will go black and 2 flashing red rings will appear on my Xbox 360 system, to the point where it won't let me turn off my xbox 360. I have to disconnect the 360 to turn it off.

Not sure what this means. :(

Won't Microsoft fix it or give you a new one? It sounds like my old computer when it was about ready to die.

You've got to look in your manual because 2 rings doesnt mean anything too bad if I remember correctly.

3 Lights are bad, anything else is minor.

Its 90 days for everything but the 3 rings. The 3 year warranty is ONLY for the 3 red rings of death. Was pretty recent announcement.

I got the 3 rings but it was during a storm where my 360 **** out cause of the storm. Haven't had it since and/or ever before though. I got worried for a second there cause the volume for my 360 wasn't working. I thought it got fried.

i had the same thing happen to me, two weeks after i bought mine. i called microsft, they sent me a mailing package. i sent it off(was an easy process), and 7 days later i had my 360 back.. i was upset that it broke in the first placce, but was delighted that i had it back a mere 7 days later...

i'm pretty sure the 2 red lights means its over heating, and needs to cool of. I dont think its a death sentence for your 360 like the 3 red lights

that sucks... seems inevitable for everyone to get these things...

what sucks is if you send it in you will just get a refurb back... and since purchased content is attached to your gamertag and console ID, you will have to always be logged into XBox live to play purchased content on the new console
