This is not meant as a " man we really got one on you" type of thread because you did recieve a 2nd round pick for him. Nope, this is a sincere Thank You!
Chambers has been NAILS for us and has added that extra element that we needed on offense. I remember reading here or someplace that he dropped passes often and missed some easy catches but let me tell ya.....he has not dropped ONE pass since he has been here that i can recall. He has demonstrated very good hands and has made some great plays for us. He has been really great for us.

Sorry, i dont know if you guys have been talking baout him during these playoffs, so if there is a thread, sorry guys i just wanted to say i am very happy with what he has brought and wanted to give thanks and hope you guys can get a good player to help you out with that 2nd round pick.

You're welcome. I liked him, but I admit was frustrated with his drops in crucial moments. Combine that with the fact that our team is truly in a rebuilding mode, and that 2nd round pick became much more valuable to us than having a Chambers would have. Likewise, with the Chargers current level of talent and success, having Chambers will serve them alot better than having that 2nd pick would have. So, I say good trade for both teams. And for the record, the same logic fits perfectly into the Wes Welker trade thing as well. When your player is more valuable to someone else than they would be for you, and that someone else has something you desperately need, its a good trade. Having Welker and Chambers without a QB and surrounding cast that's ready to properly utilize them is like having inherited a lamborghini, and due to a lack of finances on your part, you can't even pay the taxes and/or insurance to drive it, and instead selling it off for a substantial amount of cash, which you then use to erase credit card debt, buy yourself a brand new Accord (which is really what you need to get back and forth to work) and still have some cash left over to invest for the future. Keeping the Lamborghini would make you look cool, but it just doesn't get you any where.

I would love to see Chambers have a great day on the Pats tomorrow. I think the deal was fair for both sides...you got CC and we got a 2nd rounder.

You're welcome. I know you already gave us a second rounder, but I hope you add a patriot stomping to sweeten the deal, ya know?

no worries. He's exactly what you guys needed. Not a go to guy, but a solid WR to take pressure off of Gates and help Jackson develop. Aside from his big second half in 05, he never became the go-to guy we needed here. Not really a knock on him, just we needed him to be something he wasn not.

Plus, we really needed the extra pick.

he was doing a pretty good job in miami thins this year he kind of did become the go to guy he didnt drop any pass with trent in as QB but when u have to change QBs in the middle of the season it is hard for a WR

You catch the Titans game by any chance? Unless playoff games dont matter to you.

You mean like his 120 yard playoff game against the Titans? Or his clutch 30 yard TD catch to go with a HUGE 3rd down reception last week vs. the Colts?

or how about the one against the titans(i think) that was a good throw to him but was picked off because the db has inside position and chris just watched him pick it off instead of even making an attempt to stop the db from picking off the pass??

i loved chambers, dont get me wrong. but it was plays like that one that got on my nerves.

sad to see him go, but we got a 2nd rounder, hopefully things work out for him well in SD. he has made some great plays out there already, and i still wish he was doing that for us... but... oh well.

I couldn't agree more. Good value for both teams.
I knew Chambers could be much more effective with a better supporting cast. He did drop some balls here but he was also the best receiver Miami has had in a long time. By the time the Dolphins are contenders again, Chambers will most likely be past his prime. I'm glad he's getting a chance to reach his full potential and i'll be rooting for him.

Good throw? Chambers elevated up to it and Rivers underthrew him. The Titans DB got the ball at it's highest point. The most Chambers could do was behind pull back his shoulders yet that would have been very difficult, but it's a case of momentum that people don't understand. There is science involved to football, but believe what you want. There are times to get on Chambers case, but that is most definitely not one of them.

Took the words right out of my mouth. THAT was the Chambers I remember. A 2nd round pick was a friggin steal.

Several analysts alluded to the fact that the pick was on Chambers. So he isnt alone in his thinking.

The Chambers you remember and the Chambers we're watching right now is two different players... He made a nice 20 yard grab early, had a nice head fake on Hobbs.

Wow, anyone just see the Chambers grab? Hobbs was all over him and he still managed to hold onto it and stay in bounds.

Glad you could use him :) He's a great player that never reached his potential here in Miami. There's a lot of factors for it, Bad QB play, a slew of new Coach's, etc. But I think another MAJOR setback was a few years back when CC got speared up in Denver..he wasn't quite the same after that. But he seems to be doing a HELL of a job for you guys, and I'm happy to see it. I'm a HUGE Dolphins fan, but have a lot of respect for SD.

P.S. I was an avid supporter of Phillip Rivers as well. What's the feelings on how he'll turn out in San Diego?

That was a nice catch. Also the catch out of bounds in the endzone was nice too. Don't know how he caught that one.

I would love to see Chris Chambers holding up a Super Bowl trophy.

However, with the way Asante Samuel can hold him and get away with it, I doubt it.

sd has done a good job of keeping pats off the field. the def backs are definitely playing the recievers aggresively.

I love the guy.
I think he will be an elite QB in the NFL. Norv really did some things with him that Cam didnt and it took him a while to adjust but he has come along and played well for the last 7 games not counting today and even today for having a sprained MCL in his left knee and a partily torn ACL in his right knee, he played a gutsy game. He is a gamer.

I know a lot of fans lately dont like him for hat he has done ( alledgedly) but i think he is being unfairly judged. The guy does not curse so he isnt calling them names and such. He is doing what most of the guys do including Brady who nobody mentions doing it ...of course maybe he should ignore the fans but oh well...im sure he didnt say much more than " scoreboard". He just doesnt use profanity.

You watch...he will be one of the elite QB's soon and i hope he can make Chambers look better than he already has for us. Dude has been nails for us even if he may have been able to knock down that first INT. We lost because we didnt do well in the redzone today, not because of that INT.
