trading our number 1 for DallasĀ“ 2 first rounders, second and third rounder

i think this fills a lot of needs and we could get 6-7 starters out of it.

1 (from DAL) DE Calais Campbell

1 (from DAL) CB Cromartie, McKelvin, Flowers, Cason

2 TE Fred Davis or DT Frank Okam

2 (from SD) TE John Carlson, Bennet, Rucker or DT Red Bryant, Dre Moore

2 (from DAL) OLB Shawn Crable

3 ILB Beau Bell or Jonathan Goff

3 OT Anthony Collins or Barry Richardson

4 WR: Jordy Nelson, Adrian Arrington, or DJ Hall

6 BPA: CB: J. IKegwuono out of Wisconsin--out for 2008 with ACL, may be worth taking a flyer on (round 2 talent in a DEEP CB class)

or LATE ROUND QB

7 BPA: S? C. Campbell (Army)

Why did you post the same exact thing starting 2 threads?

BTW: Only way that trade would happen is this afternoon while playing Madden 08

thought the title was crap.

i think a trade is do-able. it wont be easy. but lets wait til the combine ends and then im sure we'll have more offers on the table.

Are you serious? No offense my friend....but unless Jerry Jones pounds a kilo of the shakity shakity, there is no where in the draft of drafts that this trade would happen.

The draft is to build your team and add depth but teams like the Cowboys & Patriots have plenty of depth that why Belicheat was willing to part with a 2nd,4th,7th rounders for guys like Welker & Moss and look at them now. Now I know Marion Barber is a decent back and J.Jones isn't but if Adrian Peterson from Minny had been on the Cowboys this year no doubt in my mind that they would be playing in the SuperBowl and probably win the damn thing which make me know for a fact that Jerry Jones wants that big playmaking back ala Darren McFadden. Aikman,E.Smith,M.Irvin= Romo,McFadden,Ownes remember the phrase "The Big 3" do you see the pattern here its very realistic. I'll take both 1st rounders, 2nd,Carpenter & Spears.

There is no way that the Cowboys trade away their entire draft for Darren McFadden. Even if Jerry Jones wakes up tomorrow and bumps his head, then falls down the stairs in his mansion further bumping his head, then the paramedics dope him up real good, the Cowboys are not stupid enough to make that trade.

Dallas already has a very capable RB in Barber, nuff said.

Barbers break 20 or 30 yard runs not 50 or 60 yarders ie big time playmaker.

You do realize that McFadden hasn't even stepped on an NFL field, right? To assume that he will pick up where he left off in college is silly. The NFL is a whole different ballgame, the players are bigger, faster, stronger and smarter than college kids.

Reggie Bush had more hype than McFadden, look how he turned out. He isn't exactly lighting up the league. No way Dallas mortgages their future for a player that might be great

Adrian Peterson had injury problems in college and people said he was too tall and look how he turned out.

Kijana Carter, Rashaan Salaam, Blair Thomas, Curtis Enis, Lawrence Phillips, etc, etc, etc were all supposed to be good too.

You don't throw away your draft picks on "what if's" and hype, especially when you already have a top 5 player at the position.

The problem is that people are looking at this only from the Miami point of view. From the Dallas point of view it would be , what do I need to get to the SB? A running back isn'vert going to put them over the top.

Let me see...

Miami 1st rounder...
for
Cowbells 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd...

You have to look at the trade kinda like this...

Miami and Dallas swaps 1st rounders. Is the value of Miami dropping back 22 picks worth getting a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder & a 3rd rounder from Dallas?

Miami...Yes it is worth it. Miami will miss out on a High Percentage chance of landing the next Dolphin superstar player. But they will get more chances of hitting on that same player that might slip through the rounds, as every draft has shown. I doubt the above trade value adds up using JJ's trade chart. But then again that was made something like 15+ years ago. Back then players were playing for cents on the dollar compared to today. The chart needs to be updated in a major way. If a team misses the pick today...look out CAP HELL. If Miami had just had more talent, they should not do a trade like this...IF it was offered. But they do not have the talent and need all the picks they can get. IF they trade out it will be for a player, picks & LESS VALUE than the chart suggests.

Dallas...Don't see they taking the chance on letting Marion Barber & Julius Jones go. Then expect McFadden to fill the role for both as a rookie. All the while wondering if the 35+ million in guaranteed is making him soft. Owens is not getting any younger. The team just lost a lot of staff. They OL will take some losses. The secondary could lose a probowl safety. That does not mean that Dallas will not trade up. If they do trade up for McFadden it will be with picks 3-5 and use Picks & Barber then...costing less and still being able to draft in the second & thrid round for OL & WR. Glenn is a goner from injury chances are...(Very good career.)

Don't see the trade happening with us and Dallas. I do think there is a good chance for the Phins to trade down. Just not with Dallas...Unless that is why Jerry Jones is letting Miami have the coaching staff...a little...wink...wink...trade. lol

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

the best corner is Mike Jenkins....they project him in the top-10....where no other corner is at...the only corner i would argue against Jenkins is Dominque Rodgers Cromartie,he went from a mid rounder to a potential first rounder to early seond,so if any corner is skyrockting in the draft its Cromartie,no doubt

Also they don't expect us to pick him, and perhaps the Rams will keep other pieces in mind and Atlanta is so focused on a new QB that it won't be nuts to argue the Boys will push for a trade for the #4 pick.
