Anyone else hear that the Tuna is looking to trade Miami's #1 to Dallas for Marion Barber and the Dallas picks?

Yeah, about a week ago through reports, about months ago through rumor/fan speculation.

yea starting hearing that about a week ago, also heard that it could be the two first rounders and witten, and maybe a later draft choice too, which would be phenominal.

My lord that would be great! I would do either.

somebody please bust out that draft value chart.

I would prefer a package including witten, and MULTIPLE draft picks, including but not limited to the two first rounders this year.

dallas' two first rounders and barber is not enough value, (so obviously neither is witten)
but we need witten more than we need barber.

at any rate, dallas would have to give up much more than that, and it probably won't happen.

the DVC... who was posting on that the other day???

Here a thread I started about the value of picks: http://www.dolphinsnation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208821

Based on that evidence the best place to pick a HOF calibre player is by staying at #1, and that going out of the top 10 dramatically reduces your chances of getting a regular probowler/HOFer dramatically.

Depends on what the 'phins want to do. If they want to get a game changing player that the opposition has to account for on every down they should stay where they are. If they want a couple of competent startes then they should trade down.

Save it. MIA is drafting Matt Ryan #1, D. Cromartie #32, trading the #57 for either Roy Williams or Ocho Cinco, and K Davis or M Rucker at #64.

No. But I heard a very disturbing report about the dinosaurs. Seems like they died out. Bummer. Anybody hear that too?

D. Cromartie-Rogers won't be there at #32, we aren't trading for C. Johnson (Cincy is keeping him) and I doubt if M. Rucker falls that far. Maybe K. Davis, IDK. Now, M. Ryan at #1? Show me where you get your info that we're taking him at #1. Personally, I wouldn't give a 2nd Rounder for him. He can't hit a bull in the butt with a handful of rice! Look at those awful comp.%'s!

FYI.......the reason why some are saying that ryan will be the #1 pick is because espn projects him now as our pick.

Another reason why people are now thinking Ryan might be our pick is salary. The money that's going to go to the #1 slot is going to be insane, and your salary cap just cannot handle an NT with that salary, but a QB it's not so out of line. If there were a true Franchise QB available, we'd probably take him, but since there isn't, Matt Ryan is currently rated the top QB available, so he's being penciled into that spot.

Personally, if we stay at that spot I expect to see us draft Jake Long. Dominant LT's are very hard to get outside of the first round, and Jake Long will be one. He may not deserve the #1 spot, but he fits the system Parcells/Ireland want to run.

#1 DMac - after running 4.2/40 and bench pressing 225LBS 50 times at the COMBINE
#32 DR-C - a slightly less productive combine allows him to fall into our lap (FRED DAVIS ALREADY PICKED)
#57 Quentin Grooves OLB/DE
#64 Barry Richardson OT Clemson

don't we get on the trade down bandwagon every year. I should check with the search feature, but i'm pretty sure the last trade down in the top five was SD holding eli hostage.

i've given up on trading the first pick- let it be a multiple pro bowl performer in either c. long or dorsey- it's the other picks i'm excited to see if there is a trade for
