OK, I'm sorry to waste your time, but I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out and it just is not working. I have my jpegs within the size limits. I have tried using webshots, photbucket, and uploading them direct from my computer and it just keeps telling me it's unable to save. With both signature and avatar. I hate to bug you guy's with this but I can't figure it out. Please help thank you

Your file extension is for sure .jpg?

Try uploading it to this website:

This is kind of funny in a "not really" kind of way. :)

I was trying to help BigCityCat with Avatars today through PMs. I tried to change my avatar and it would not allow me to do it. I'm using imageshack and using the direct link option. File size was 10kb, dimensions 152x114. I reduced it to 76x57 and 3kb and I got the same error "unable to save image."

So I changed it to Zach (now it's Chambers) temporarily and then tried to change it back to the same avatar I've used for over a year. "Unable to save image."

From scouring the net, one thing that keeps coming up on other forums using vbulletin is that the directories on the servers are not CHMOD'ed correctly. Only a mod or admin has been able to help these people, it wasn't that they were doing anything wrong.

Maybe this will help. I realize with all the changes this is not a high-priority item, but it seems to be affecting a lot of people.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

I appreciate your help. But I hope we don't have to bother you guys & gals when you have more important stuff to do, just because we want to change our avatar. I'm working on an animated gif and might want to change again it later.

Thank you!

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2008/04/fynchapi1-1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)its no problem We're always finding little "glitches" on the backend that have to be fixed, so letting us know and us helping where we can isn't a problem.
