I think we look at Adarius BOwman and Dj Hall for WR
At CB /S Dj Wolfe and DJ Parker are 2 solid players and Wolfe could contribut this year and come away as a starter.
AT LB can you overlook Woodyard and Im not sure if Highsmith is still ava but if he is he was a beast.
OT/OG RObert Felton should have been drafted he blocked and paved way for Run DMC and Jones to run for a million yards.
Pedro Sosa form Rutgers is a great run blocker and can play OT
Eric Young is solid and is a big body that was a good run and pass blocker. Dominated SEC competition for years and would have been 2nd rounder if not for injury last year.]

Bowman and Hall have to be high on priority along with Felton and Young I think. So does Wolfe is a good player who played both CB and S at Oklahoma

Not that impressed with the FA signings so far of course Bill like big guys and for the most part these guys are. Still you would think some CB and WR would be targeted as there are some opportunities on our roster.

Interesting article on Matt Mulligan. Only been playing football for two years, and he's improved exponentially every year. Probably a long shot, but still interesting.

Based on what I'm reading, Heerspink wasn't even the best lineman at Portland State.

Mike Byrne? Really? I had to double check just to make sure. I went to High School with him. He was one year younger then me.

IF the rumors about Jay feeley not being well liked don't be shocked if you see Carpenter as our kicker, he consistantly nailed 50 + in bad conditions, look at 0:47, 1:12 and a few runs by our 6th round RB Lex Hilliard

Another interesting tight end. Mike Byrne from Delaware. Article says that he might get moved to center. He's apparently a very good blocker.

edit: whoops, he's a tackle. Or was with Delaware, at least.

Selmon Lymon

http://www.blackshoediaries.com/story/2007/11/20/111415/72

The details of the arrest of Purdue wide receiver Selwyn Lymon were made available in court yesterday and you can't make this stuff up. Here is what not to do when the police show up at your house to investigate a domestic disturbance call.

1. Get in your buddy's truck and drive away.

2. Drive away with a blood alcohol content of 0.15.

3. Drive away in a car that does not have an ignition interlock device as stipulated in your previous drunk driving case.

4. Park said car in a handicap space across the street.

5. And finally, don't do this.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Tippecanoe County prosecutor's office, Lymon had a blood-alcohol content of at least 0.15 percent -- nearly twice the legal limit to drive in Indiana. He had red, glossy eyes and slurred speech, and during the arrest he urinated on himself.

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/03/30/selwyn-lymon-stabbed-in-chest/

Lymon arrived at a hospital about 2:45 a.m. with a stab wound to the upper chest and told medical workers that he was attacked at a near-campus nightclub, said John Walker, deputy chief of West Lafayette Police Department. Lymon, 20, of Fort Wayne, was in stable condition before going to surgery at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette, police said. An updated condition was not immediately available from hospital officials.

What is it with Parcells and drunken asshat receivers?

The latest UDFA are - Akron TE Kris Kasparek, Idaho FB Rolly Lambala, Mississippi State DE Titus Brown and Virginia Tech DT Kory Robertson.

Brown seems like a good catch. 6"2 and 246

Strengths:
Excellent athleticism...Good speed and quickness...Has a burst to close...A natural pass rusher...Hard worker with a good motor...Understands how to use his hands to shed blockers...Versatile with experience at multiple positions..Has played a lot of ball against top competition..Productive and made a lot of plays behind the line.

Weaknesses:
Undersized and lacks the ideal bulk that you look for...Isn't stout at the point and is a liability against the run....Has to hit the weights and get stronger...Might only be a situational guy in the pros..'Tweener who might not have a true pro position.

Notes:
Actually began his college career as a middle linebacker...Arrested following a bar fight in '05...Probably either an outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme or a pass rush specialist in a 4-3...He won't be an ideal fit for everyone and you will probably be projecting him to a new position but it's tough to ignore the stats and raw talent.

In 2007, Brown recorded 43 tackles, 13.5 TFL and 8 sacks.

Little salt to the wound. He was suspended from the team last September and subsequently kicked off the team in November. He had no choice but to declare for the draft no one wanted him. So much for Parcells not wanting any thugs?
