Its just an endorsement, but it could be indicative of the thoughts going through the minds of the moderates and those still undecided.

Oh my. A Democrat endorsing another Democrat. That must be rocking McCain's whole world. Who would have expected that!

Didn't he endorse Bush in 2004? Anyways, please correct the spelling in the title. "Kock?" lol

Maybe this will help you with your perspective of his historical political affiliations.

"Former New York Mayor Ed Koch, who endorsed and worked for George W. Bush in 2004, is endorsing Obama today, NY1 (http://www.ny1.com/content/top_stories/85640/koch-endorses-obama-for-president/Default.aspx) first reported.

I asked Koch just now what prompted the move.
"The designation of Palin to be vice president," he said. "She's scary."
He said he was alarmed by the report (http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1837918,00.html) that she'd triggered a conflict with the local librarian in Wasilla, Alaska by inquiring about the possibility of banning books.
"Any time someone goes to the library and says, 'I want to ban books,' and the librarian says 'no,' and she threatens to fire them -- that's scary," he said."

If these reports are true does Palin have ties to the 3rd Reich? How far do you have to go to considered an extremest?

Yes, he did endorse Bush which is why it is newsworthy.

And wow. Freudian slip? The keys have a J in between them. That is weird.
