It might be easy to dismiss John McCain's resurgence in the polls as merely a convention bounce, especially in light of the excitement generated by running mate Sarah Palin (http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1838553,00.html), but there's one startling shift that should be particularly worrisome to Barack Obama's campaign. In the Washington Post-ABC News survey (http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/09/what-do-women-w.html) released Monday, McCain enjoyed a 20-percentage-point turnaround against Obama among white women, going from an 8-point deficit before the Republican National Convention to a 12-point advantage after it.

Well.....that is what Sarah Palin brings to this election - the battle for the women vote. I think it will make the difference in the election, in favor of McCain.

That is just my initial gut feeling, right or wrong.
