What did you all think of Brady Quinn's performance on Thursday night?

I thought he looked really good for his first game. I think back to that day when I was cheering he was still on the board at #9 and the Phins freaking passed on him!!!!! I still think it was a HUGE BLUNDER committed by Cam when he passed on Quinn and selected Ginn.

What do you all think after last Thursday: Do you agree it was a huge mistake passing on Quinn or do you think we are better off in the future with Henne or Beck and Ginn?

Funniest thing ever! Seriously, at this point who cares? If we had a time machine that could go back and change Dolphins mistakes of this decade, Quinn wouldn't be near the top of my list.

He lost.

He sure is pretty. If I had his looks, I would get it on with so many women I would have STD's that haven't even been discovered yet.

I thought Quinn looked really good, and will likely be a good NFL QB, if not a great one. This conversation will invariably turn to why we selected Ginn instead, to which I (who am NOT a Ginn apologist or superfan) will remind you that the concept during that draft was that the brass decided they were better off ending up with Ginn + Henne, instead of Quinn and another receiver. They didn't feel Ginn would be available later if they selected Quinn in R1. I'm not supporting that decision or even saying it will pay off, but when you compare Quinn to Ginn, you have to factor in that we sort of went for a "2-fer", instead of drafting the best possible player at that position, so to speak.. hope that makes sense.

Kinda early. I dont like quinn. He had a good game but lost. Ginn has had his ups and downs. Look like he is starting to get it. Cant help if he is double covered. Give the guy a chance he showed 2 weeks ago he can do it if he can. Henne time will tell. I was mad when we drafted him but got used to it. I still would like to see what Beck can do with a good team.

I think the BROWNS qb did a nice job playing for the BROWNS, and that the BROWNS had a nice shot at winning that game. He definately was a great choice for the BROWNS.

Thanks goodness slipperysoap hasn't been around.....for those who remember....

He's 0-1 as a starter.

True, but I thought he played really well. He wasn't the one giving up three TD's in the fourth quarter.

Oh. So THAT'S how it happened. More acceptable now.

Well, he's off to a better start than Ryan Leaf by comparison.....

Leaf started 2-0 as a starter i believe but was playing horrendous football.

It was Ginn + Beck actually, but the point stands. The idea was to get a #1 WR and a QB in that draft.

Quinn looked good, but he was playing a poor Denver defense, at home, and throwing short passes all game. Let's see how he does against some better defenses, and better teams overall.

I think he'll be a decent QB, but not elite by any means.

He was playing arguably the worst pass defense in the league.(with the injuries in their secondary):rolleyes2:

This is true, but he did his job. You can't blame him for that loss, or his 0-1 record. He played a very conservative game and had a lot of success doing it in time we'll see him make throws down field, and see if he's got what it takes. But again, he played pretty good even if it was against a horrible defense at home, unfortunately his team crumbled around him especially the defense.

hmmm.. looks like he's still have trouble winning the games that matter to his teams, eh?

Joe Thomas and Mckinney and Hadnot couldn't keep the pressure off him..., his passes were ditch and dunk... Clady and Cutler they will be great..., Quinn and Thomas will not equal Clady and Cutler...

Actually they thought Beck and Quinn was a better combo which is a totally differant story lol.

My bad.. it was Beck...Yikes, LOL. Nonetheless, that was the strategy.

seriously I did watch the whole game tonight. Brady looked mediocre. He might turn out to be a great QB but there is no way to tell from tonights game. Heplayed average to above average against a terribble pass defense. He showed rookie mistakes and glimmers of greatness at different times. Tonights game on Quinn was inconclusive and he was probally started about a half a season too early. I feel for Romeo he is getting a raw deal and caving to pressure trying not to lose his job.

I think this thread belongs merged in the general nfl section where i already made this same comment about Quinn. He is not a Dolphin, he is a brown

Lady Queen plays for the freakin' Browns. These endless revivals of that shoulda', coulda', woulda', nonsense are beyond boring. It's ancient history. Let it go. I can't believe anyone still gives a rat's a## about that crotch grabbing fool except some Notre Dame/Dolphins fans. I personally wouldn't trade Henne for five Brady (let me grab my buddy's package) Quinn's. :rolleye:

For the record also Quinn did not lose the game for them. Winslow dropped several key passes thrown his way and Cutlerjust got plain lucky that he was not picked off at least 3 times that game.

Quinn did nothing spetacular he made a few super passes but he basically played a good game of managment. I think he had a respectable debute but I would not annoint him as a future elite QB just yet.

Not sure why anyone posts a poll when it invloves non dolphin players.

On this board

Beck is better than Ryan
Ginn is better than Desean Jackson
beck is also better than Henne
Camirillo is better than Welker
Jason Allen is better than Deangelo Hall
Ronnie Brown better than Tomlinson

I love this board but polls are always useless here for most part.

Seems to me there are some mad people that Quinn did not stink up the joint and is looking like a better qb than the one we took last year. Hey Im mad too but Im over it, we have Henne and I hope he does good.
