Jets waived CB Justin Miller.
His departure makes room on the roster for Ty Law, who was signed Monday. Interestingly, the Boston Globe speculates that the Patriots may pursue Miller, but he'll have to clear waivers first.

Ok guys I know that everyone is always posting sign this guy and sign that guy, but with the recent success and trying to make a run at the Playoffs why not claim this guy. If he gets to us threw waivers. What do you guys think.

I dont foresee him making it to us through waivers. However, if he did, I would be all for it. He couldnt be worse than Joey Thomas, and he offers some return ability. Plus, some insider information for the next Jets game.

Parcells seems to like poaching his old teams guys. I wouldnt be surprised if we did claim him.

I wonder if Parcell drafted him. Im sure Pennington is gonna give in the good word. One thing for sure is he would improve our Corners and ST. I think this would be a solid addition.

I think if he is picked up Bess would be removed automatically from PR duties.

Go after him. He's a former pro bowler and he tied with Hester on return touchdowns in 2006. Since they seem committed to taking Ginn off of returns, this would be a great move. Why don't we just claim him if we still have priority?

I dont believe we have that priority anymore. We are 5-4 now, not 1-15

I was wondering about that. I didn't know if it lasted the whole season.

We have to hope nobody claims ahead of us. Now my question is we have one more game lost then New England, but we beat them. Do we have an advantage or they do

sign him he is pretty good, better than a couple of our guys... we have expendable players and justin miller is worthyof a roster spot... otherwise the pats will pick him up

I liked him coming out of the draft, seems like he never latched on at corner with The Jets though. If we brought him in, I'd be excited.

I think the guy would be alot better than Joey Thomas who is not even playing besides ST and we do need someone to return Punts.

After reviewing his stats the guys has not done much of anything besides KR.

He is decent.I say go get him.It wouldnt hurt us to sign a probowler.Even if it was for kr.We need more depth and speed.

It would definitely free up Ginn, though.

Don't we have first shot at all waived plaers?

I believe we are somewhere in the middle in terms of waiver priority at 5-4. The Pats are certainly after us at 6-3, regardless of the fact that we beat them.

The only thing that make work against him is that Parcells doesnt seem to be fond of guys that do just one job. If all he can do is return, then I dont see them taking a guy like Bess out, who can also contribute as a wideout. Then again, we are pretty desperate on special teams. The returns have improved with Ginn back there, but the punt returns are still leaving much to be desired.

This guy has shown some flashes at cb but he would definetly help at pr. If the money is right I say bring him in.

as far as i know, the waiver wire seniority still goes
by your teams previous years record.

we were 1-15 and have the first shot.

if the opposite were true, the waiver seniority would
change by the minute!

unless someone knows different, we still have the first shot
at ANY wiver wire players.

and i am all for signing miller.

i say we pick him up. How can we pass up the opportunity to add some depth and maybe get some inside info?

He's got to be better than Thomas and probably a better PR than Bess.

Our #1 position was only good through the 1st 3 weeks. The order then gets stack ranked by your record. We will be middle of pack but certainly higher than NE.

Sure, why not. He never stood out as a cb, but I think he'd be a nice pick up. I'm not sure how well his kr's will transfer from the jets, that was a westhoff coached squad from the jets, and under him they are always good

From what i understand, if you are at the top for waiver wire status, and you pick up a player, that moves you to the bottom of the list.

You cant be at the top of the waiver wire all year and keep picking up players.
