The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Spikes also said his friendship with All-America quarterback Tim Tebow (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=183484), who is also returning to the Gators for his senior season, played a part in the decision....Tebow's the reason i figured he'd stay for his senior season...here's why i'd love for us to get Spikes when he comes out after his senior season...

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP)—Florida receiver Percy Harvin is leaving school early to enter the NFL draft, but linebacker Brandon Spikes will return for his senior season.
Harvin and Spikes, both juniors, announced their intentions Thursday—hours before the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft.
Harvin led the national champions in receiving and was second on the team in rushing. He caught 40 passes for 644 yards and seven touchdowns, and ran for 660 yards and 10 scores. He missed two games because of injury, and his durability could be a major concern heading into the draft.
Spikes led the Gators with 93 tackles this season. The defensive captain also had eight sacks and four interceptions....2 of those INT's were returned for TDs...

I was really hoping for Spikes to come out, especially since we had a great chance of him dropping to us. Sigh, not too much to do about this now.
Another note though, everyone of Florida's defense is coming back. That's pretty damn scary for whoever gets to play Florida next year.

which also means lauranitis stock just jumped since he was valued around where we were picking. i think the lack of underclassmen coming out has to do with the Lions, Chiefs, Rams, Bengals and Raiders problems IMO

your completely right. Its why bradford didnt come out. He didnt wanna play for the lions, why would he wanna go to a losing franchise and get beat up, instead stay at OU and be the man. Its obvious
