when they talk about you guys getting destroyed is the only time youll be mentioned at the same time as those teams...

....well maybe not the canes, lmao.

well i know we cant beat the gators right now... but i know we have a good chance at beating the canes and seminoles. Canes had a good year getting the young guys some burn but we will have to see next year. As for the seminoles, until they fix their qb problems we defenetly have a good chance at beating them. Just look at last year, they lost to n.c. state while usf destroyed them.

ps. ill be going to tallahasee to see the game with some of my friends who went to florida st. in september.. your more than welcome to join us. We love talking about college football.

that is if you are a seminoles fan

um...you have no chance agaisnt FSU, we lost to NC St? news to me...game might have been closer then we wanted, but we went to NC and beat them. fact that yall destroyed them at home means nothing.

and we could play USF without a QB and beat yall...you serious?!?

on one hand i feel bad for you guys, on the other im happy because you guys are overrated every year, so when we destroy yall it will make us look that much better.

well your right .. it was my mistake, you guys did win but this is why i cant wait to play you guys. You think were some small time school and we wont be able to compete with you guys. Your wrong about one thing. Were not overated. We have a problem playing to the level of our competition. But when we play ranked teams we WIN! evident on how we have beaten a ranked Kansas Team the past two years and a Pretty damn good AUBURN and West Virginia team the year before last. Laugh it up now. I would love for you to back up your talk by coming to the game with me and my buddies. Ill be the only USF fan but it will be that much sweeter when we at least put a scare you guys! George Selvie Coming back and Grothe's final year will be a good year for USF.

We all know one thing YOUR QBs SUCK!!! lol although Ponder has shown some potential.

Yeah laugh it up about Miami. Last time I checked we smoked USF both times we played them, and we'll do it again this year. Don't think that USF is anything because they can squeak by some of those teams in the Big East.

yeah that was three years ago when we first came into the Big East. We dont compare against any of the BIG THREE in the recruiting circles. All of them by far have better quality recruits that we do. I mean even George Selvie himself was a two star recruit. Things are changing. This year by far we have our best recruiting class. Anyway i never said the Canes suck. I think they are a good team full of young guys. Maybe next year theyll blow up. Im excited to play you guys. Nappy Roots was the one that said the Canes Suck... lol I come in peace:peace1:

I dont get it? Why do you think the Big East sucks. I mean we did throttle NC State. You guys act like you guys play in the SEC or Big 12!
Our Confrence is just as good as yours! Dont you think? If not, i would like to hear your explanation for the reason not being.

#17 Cinci is your only ranked team, and you lose 24-10 to them......you cant count teams that were so overrated and should have never ranked to begin with(kansas). end of year ranking is what matters.

btw, i was joking about Miami. their in the ACC so i cheer for them. their going to destroy you guys to...

you beat a bad, inconsistant NC St team with a freshman QB, in Tampa and you expect props from that?

The small East is not on par with ACC. The ACC will be among the top conferences again next year while the small East will be just another lower conference.

Your point being??? virginia tech was your highest ranked team at 15?

In the Big East throught the season... USF,UCONN, Cincy, Pittsburg, and West Virginia were ranked at some point. Thats more than HALF OUR CONFERENCE!!!! That shows theres alot of competition and parity in the Big East.

I dont expect props for that win, or anyother of the beatdowns NC state received from other Big East schools. Or When West Virginia beat UNC on their Bowl game.

ACC a top Conference! LMAO.. Of the BCS Conferences who are they ahead of?

1.Big 12
2.SEC
3. Big 10
4. Pac 10
5. ACC
6. Big East

yeah i give you guys a slight advantage over us, but by no means are you guys one of the best conferences. You guys are in the bottom half too. LOL

You can LMAO at the Sagarin rankings - which had the ACC as the TOP conference at the end of the regular season. I don't think we're the best, but I think we're wayyy better than people think. Duke beat Vanderbilt during the regular season. Duke. Clemson beat South Carolina, Georgia Tech beat Georgia. Maryland beat Cal. BC beat Notre Dame. Va tech beat Nebraska.
We still get owned by the SEC powerhouses, but I think in two years, maybe next year who knows, when Miami and FSU get back on top, we'll overtake the SEC. The Big 12 has great teams too, but overall top heavy. I don't think TT, Missouri, and Ok. State are that good.

Be honest with yourselves. Take off the homer glasses, and put down the Kool-Aid. The ACC is mediocre at best. The Big East is mediocre at best. Neither conference has a powerhouse school at this point in time. Personally, I would slot the ACC slightly ahead of the Big East. Cincinatti is a good program but it's only a matter of time before Brian Kelly is swept up by a big program with a coaching need. West Virginia has lost Pat White and I don't know what they have coming in. I know they have Eugene Smith who is a Florida native coming in but Miami didn't even recruit Eugene Smith. Miami obviously recruits a better athlete than any school in the Big East. That's a fact. We just do. The Big East mostly get by on schemes to beat the bigger better athletes. And it works for Big East schools. If it works, it works, so use it. I'm not discrediting how Big East schools get their wins. We win with speed because we recruit the bigger faster athletes in the country and we recruit the country whereas most Big East schools only recruit their area. And that's fine.

But we'll find out who is ready to play on November 28th when Miami travels North to play South Florida. I fully expect South Florida to come out swinging and hit us in the mouth early as they'd like to lay claim as one of the top programs in the state. I still say South Florida ranks 4th despite the fact that we have been in a recent skid for years and South Florida has been on a tremendous upswing. But in the end, we all know that Miami will get back to the top of the state.

you know i can agree with with everything that you said. Very good post. The only thing i cant agree with is that USF is sitting in a recruiting hot bed. Alot of very good prospects come out of the tampa area. Once USF starts to keep most of those prospects thats when we will compete year after year with the Miamis, Floridas and Florida St.

South Florida certainly sits in a hot bed for recruiting. Aaron Murray, Robert Marve, Orson Charles, and it goes on. Tampa-Plant and Armwood are two huge high schools full of top talent. And Sanford isn't too far East either. The problem is, can South Florida recruit against Randy Shannon, Urban Meyer, and Bobby Bowden? Does South Florida have top recruiters to steal kids from the three monster schools in the state? For now, I say no. However, this isn't a knock on the school itself. South Florida is certainly a fine institution in a nice area and has a nice campus as well. But South Florida needs that A+ recruiter to keep Robert Marve from going to Miami, to keep Aaron Murray from going to Georgia, to land at least one of the Sanford kids, to keep Orson Charles close to home. Until that time comes, it will be difficult to recruit against and beat these top teams in Florida because our athletes are simply faster and stronger. That's not to take away from the current players that South Florida has because I think Matt Groethe is easily the second best quarterback in the state and George Selvie is a FINE player.

Let me help you!!!! IT says AGAIN... meaning you were a top conference in the past, meaning you gotta specify wether you meant last year, five years ago, 20 years ago. I took it as you meant this previous year because you didnt specify. But like Canes said, no need to keep discussing this because our conferences as of right now are bottom of the barrel.

Well im always nervous with these 5 star QB recruits, they always end up sucking.

As far as recruiting vs Bowden, Shannon, and Meyer, we are not up there yet but there have been some signs of recruits from the local area starting to go with USF against the Big 3. Guys such as Adaris Bellamy and Ryne Giddens, or even in other areas, like last year with Tallahasee's BJ Daniels.

Who do you think is the top QB in florida? Just curious?

I think landing Ryne Giddens was HUGE and a BIG surprise for everyone who thought he was easily going to Florida. It certainly surprised me. The best quarterback in the state as far as a high school recruit? That one is easy: It's Aaron Murray from Tampa-Plant. Or did you mean best college quarterback in the state? Again, this one is easy: Tim Tebow.
