Look what PBP talked about. Our need at WR and who are the top 30 WR in the draft and who we might target. I hope a 3rd round pick in Barden. I wouldnt even mind if we used our 2B pick on him what do you think and who off the list do you think has potential in the late rounds?

Here's the link!

Yes WR is a need, although Mel Kiper had Heyward-Bey at 25, I personally think Kenny Britt will be a much better WR than any other WR, besides Crabtree, and maybe Maclin, in the draft!

I think with Barden's size he would be the perfect addition to our WR corps. Having two possession and one burner, a big, tall physical receiver would really fit nicely into the equation.

But like you say, when do you pull the trigger for a wideout. Ideally the 4th, but I would not complain if its the 3rd. I dont like going any earlier than that as we have other needs like OLB, NT, O-Line, ILB

2 guys that are not in the carbtree/maclin/nicks mold but
will end up being hines ward catch all, play hard, play smart
types are JUAQUIN IGLASIAS who has caught EVERYTHING
in the senior bowl and BRIAN ROBISKIE who has really grown
on me.

thee are guys you pic up ata the bottom of the second, early 3rd
and they quietly become solid, play making wr's.

robiskie is being hyped pretty big now so he may go a lot earlier
but he reminds me a lot of hines ward.

if we go wr early [and we need big time wr's like fish need water]
i would want HAKEEM NICKS who wont be there, but if he slips
i dont see how the finz can pass him up. he WILL be a pro bowl
wr in the nfl.

MACLIN could fall [ he is NOT ginn, he is dsean jackson] and i wouldnt
cry if he wa the choice either.

WR and DB are the positions we need the most. the only other 2 players
i wouldnt mind outside of wr or db is MAX UNGER or BJ RAJI but i have
a feeling both will be gone.

I'm not on board with the need for a large receiver. We have Lodon and big receivers that get no separation are worthless. It's not easy for a QB to throw a ball right at 10 to 11 feet when it gets to the receiver....so a 6'6 receiver can get the ball over a 5'10 DB. Throwing those high balls results in tips that get picked by a safety. Give me a receiver who runs excellent routes, has good hands and can get YAC. I'm also not fond of those jump ball fades in the end zone. They don't work that often and have to be thrown perfectly. Give me a quick slant anytime.

The best is hard to say depending on what system used. However I think he has the best tangiables, height and speed, route running could get a little better and his hands are a bit inconsistent however you can coach those up.

First off, how does a ball 10-11 feet get tipped more easily than lower balls. Second the bread basket and the most ideal place to put a ball is still on the numbers of any receiver so a 6'6 WR's bread basket is 4' to 5' feet. You do not throw a ball at a receivers out stretched hands 10 feet in the air on a slant or post or bubble screen.

With that said catching any ball, whether it be a come back, a dig an out a fly, fade or any deep ball is to catch the ball at the highest point of attack. The gift that a tall receiver has over a shorter quick one is the ability to catch that ball higher at a higher point which is typically higher than a DB.

Hook and curl routes that are design to go to the First Down markers to pick up the first are the exception, you can't continue to come back to grab it higher, cause you won't get the first, and a quick route runner could, however, by throwing the ball higher on this route works well because if it is over thrown or "tip" as you suggest, the ball well travel out of bounds.

I like Britt, Iglesias, and Barden....I guess it depends who is remaining on the board when we pick. But I wouldn't take a WR with our first round pick.

I Like Hakeem Nicks good route runner and good hands but i wouldn't take him in the first round maybe in the 3rd round.

Oline and defense will be targeted in the first 3 picks. We need 3 starters out of those picks. On the second day we concentrate on depth and WR Barden will be our third round pick if he is there. Everything that i read about the guy is impressive and i think Parcells really likes his play making ability.

By the way London is terrible! Ted Ginn and Bess are the only ones that are servicable. And for the record Camarillo is garbage. I could go out there and give the fins the same kind of production. he never broke tackles and ever made a big play except for 2007 for our only win. he wouldnt even be on the depth chart for a lot of teams

He is more of a feel good story than a decent wide out. We need a WR bad I wont even mind if they draft DJ Boldin or pick him up as an undrafted FA but we need a weapon for noodle arm.

We are not getting a wr in the first 3 picks.
It's going to be another draft like last year.
Remember how many wr's and cb's we drafted.

If we don't pick up a wide receiver early here and Ginn doesn't show the ability to be a number 1, I can see Dez Bryant next year.
