Who's the board's favorite action star?

Feel free to add more options. I'm just curious to see who your favorite action star is.

I picked Kurt Russell from your options just because of Big Trouble in Little China. Although, off the top of my head I suppose I'm partial to Asians. I'd have to go with Bruce Lee and Jet Li. I've always liked Sylvester Stallone as a kid. Mel Gibson in his Mad Max days is hard to beat. Harrison Ford, I still love Han Solo.

Here's a good list but they break it down to top 25 action heroes in a single performance.

off that list i would say bruce willis b/c of fifth element, pulp fiction, the last boy scout, the die hard series, twelve monkeys, sin city, tears of the sun, and grindhouse (planet terror).

before mel went insane, he was awesome in braveheart, the patriot (maybe the most historically inaccurate movie ever - but entertaining), the mad max series, gallipoli, the lethal weapon series, payback, and we were soldiers.

my personal favorite would have to be connery, though. between the bond series, a bridge too far, the untouchables, highlander, the last crusade, the rock - there's just too many to list.

CedarPhin

Current I like Nicholas Cage. Any action movies he does with Jerry Bruckheimer I think he's great in.

Hands down Amanda Peet in the Whole Nine Yards.

Nicholas Cage is the exact same character in every movie he is in. Its boring. I went with Bruce Willis too. If you ever want to see a truly scary character, check him out in Lucky Number Slevin. Probably the best version of the cold-blooded assassin I've ever seen...

Cage in "Lord of War" was awesome. I loved that movie.

Did you guys know he was in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"?

I think Nick's two best movies have been Face/Off with Travolta.Castor Troy was a great character. And The Rock with Sean Connery and Ed Harris were both great movies.JMHO

i don't mind cage - his roles do seem somewhat repetitive though. his best films were national treasure (absolutely love diane kruger), adaptation, and raising arizona.

Seems like "Next" and that newest one he's in are basically the same movie.

I'd say Harrison Ford(Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jack Ryan, Air Force One) is my favorite, with honorable mentions to:
Sean Connery(James Bond, Last Crusades, The Rock),
Steve McQueen(The Great Escape, The Getaway, The Magnificent Seven, Bullitt)
Daniel Craig(for two of the best Bond films ever and action films of recent),
and Bruce Willis(Die Hard movies, The Fifth Element,Sin City).

They all combined legitimacy as an action hero with some swagger. Leagues above the direct to video crowd. I mean, does anybody think Steven Seagal movies are good beyond kitsch value?

- Pauly Shore (how he got snubbed for an Oscar, I'll never know)
- Jason Alexander (cutting edge stunt work)
- Rob Schneider (his work in The Animal was 1st rate)
- Chris Farley (three words: Beverly Hills Ninja)
- Matthew Broderick (nobody runs through yards like Ferris)
