Connecticut's Darius Butler said Miami and Baltimore ''are showing a lot of interest'' in him, and NFL Network's Mike Mayock said Butler could be the best corner available to Miami at No. 25.

Outside of Butler, it seems the Dolphins are looking to add some height to their CBs to better compete against the taller receiver in the league.

Butler -- who got scholarship offers from only Connecticut, FAU and Indiana -- said he improved by working with Deion Sanders recently. ''Miami would be a dream,'' he said at Santana Moss' charity event Tuesday.

Sean Smith interests the Dolphins, who met with him and want another private session Monday at Utah's Pro Day. ''There are not many 6-3 corners,'' Mayock said. ``But he's got a chance to be a good NFL corner, though you cannot leave him in man coverage all day.''
The Dolphins were one of only two teams (with Baltimore) that sent a coach instead of a scout (Dolphins defensive quality control coach David Corrao) to watch and meet privately with (Sherrod)Martin (6-1) on Thursday at Troy's Pro Day.
I know some people might want to compare Sean Smith to Nnamdi Asomugha because of their height but the first player that comes to mind when I watched Smith play this year (only saw him twice) is former Notre Dame and Philadelphia Eagles standout corner, Bobby Taylor.

I would not object to him at all. There are a lot of late first round CBs that interest me (both Smiths, Moore, Byrd, Butler) as well as 2nd rounders. They aren't the tallest bunch out there, BUT they are smart, hard working, and fairly physical

agreed chambers. some good 1st and 2nd round prospects. I wouldnt be suprised if Miami grabs 2 cbs in this draft. especially if they dont get a free agent cb like mcfadden.

This draft is very deep in CB. We could probably get some really good ones in the third or fourth as well.

I live down here in sofla, and for my money the Barry Jackson article Miami Herald/Florida Sports Buzz is the one can't miss article of all the local papers. Jackson consistently comes out with the best Dolphins news/rumors/inside slant.
