1) Hakeem Nicks WR North Carolina- Miami really needs that #1 possession WR who will run tough and get us that YAC.

2) Darius Butler CB Connecticut- a CB with the speed and strength to help our young DB’s. Has good experience with top competition. Is a LEAPING Ball hawk. He gives Will allen and Eric Green the comp and the backup.

2) Pat White QB/WR West Virginia- The Key to the perfect wildcat scheme. He can throw with accuracy and make plays scrambling. Also can be a slot wr and can be a KR/PR (giving Ted ginn to only worry about WR)

3) Cody Brown OLB Connecticut- A athlete where the trifecta can help him sharpen his skills at the OLB position. A fast guy who can rush the QB.

4) Chris Clemons S Clemson- Some people questions this pick. Well what happens if G.WILSON and Y.Bell goes down, we have NO ONE behind them. Chris Clemons blew the combine being the fastest DB and a player who loves hitting. He can a valuable S that can have a bright future in our secondary.

5) Sammie Lee Hill DT Stillman- Finally our next NT, a player who can take the C and G at the same time and get through with his speed, a steal in the 5th. Our “DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH”

7) Brandon Walker OG Oklahoma- A proven RG who’s started all 4 years, rarely gets hurt. He played with the best of the best and for the best OFFENSE. He can provide excellent depth at RG in our line if people start going down. Not as strong but has the experience.

7) Brandon Swain DE West Texas A&M- Swain easily made the transition to major college ball, totaling 78 tackles (27 solo, 51 assisted) while recording team-leading totals in tackles-for-loss (24.5 for minus-152 yards), sacks (13 for minus-114 yards), QB hurries (12) and forced fumbles (five). Those 14 sacks rank him second among WTAMU single-season leaders. He also picked off one pass, returning it for 18 yards. Against Northeastern State, Swain recorded a team-leading 11 takedowns in WT's 38-0 shutout over the RiverHawks. He was twice named LSC Defensive Player of the week, and at seasons end, Swain garnered all-America honors by the American Football Coaches Association (first team), Associated Press (first team), Don Hansen's Football Gazette (first team), Daktronics (first team) and D2Football.com (first team), in addition to being named all-LSC first-team as well as LSC Defensive Lineman of the Year.

7) Brandon Pearce OT Memphis- Picked as a first-team All-C-USA honoree by Athlon Sports during the summer...Part of an offensive line that led C-USA in fewest sacks allowed with 14 for the fourth-straight year and ranked 10th nationally...Helped pave the way for a Tiger offense that ranked 13th nationally in passing offense and 23rd in total offense...Started all 13 games at right tackle in 2007 and has started 33 of 36 career games...Played in 96 percent of the team's offensive plays in 2007... Played all but one series in the Tigers' 96 plays season opener against Ole Miss...Did not miss a play in the Tigers' 70-offensive play game with Arkansas State...Did not come out of the game against Marshall, East Carolina, Southern Miss and SMU...Logged action in every offensive play in the 108-play triple overtime win over SMU...Was a key factor in Martin Hankins passing for 3,220 yards and 25 touchdowns...Also worked with the special teams unit.

I believe Chris Clemons, Brandon Swain, and Brandon Pearce can be KEY Factors in 2-3 years, with Bell aging, our OLB corps aging, and our OL depth.

i truly believe these are quality players for our team. if we sign KEN LUCAS our draft can change to getting Robert Ayers with our 2a pick.

I like Sammie Lee Hill and Brandon Swain alot, i believe with proper coaching theyre skills can become awsome, and might be starting sooner than later on our Defense.

That's a REALLY solid Phins draft. I would be THRILLED about that!

No, we still need young corners. And good ones at that. I would take Butler a thousand times before I take Ayers. If Butler was there at 44, it would be major steal anyway.

1) WR ANTHONY ARMSTRONG
2) CB SCORPIO BARBERS

yea i want jasper brinkley in the 4th but i believe we have enough lb's to provide some depth, meanwhile, bell and wilson dont really have any backups, our best one is courtney bryan and jason allen.. and lets be honest, courtney is just a special teams player and j. allen is toooo inconsistent.

I like how you think with the Clemons pick. I think you're picking Sammie Lee Hill too late. I see some people picking Butler in the 2nd, I still don't see that happening for us. IMO...I think he will be gone be then. I'm not in favor of drafting Pat White that early, but I have to agree he would be the ultimate weapon in our wildcat formation.

What are the chances that we draft 3 Brandon's in a row? lol

We will be getting away from the wildcat not looking to add to it. TS will be looking at a punishing run game, the wildcat was only tried because we ran the ball poorly in the early part of the season. At our 2b pick I'd expect a player that could step in eventually and be an every down player not a gimmick. Do you also realize there's not a single QB in the league under 6'1, not one. If P.White thinks he's gonna be a QB only in this league he'll be lucky to be drafted by the 5th round (as he seems to not be willing to run routes for scouts).
So if you want him in the 5th round then go for it but 2b is a wasted pick.

Otherwise your mock is really good, I would like to see some ILB depth let alone someone to push Akin for a starting spot.

Pat White was willing to run routes but Bill Stewart didn't let him so you're wrong about him not being willing, he wants to play in the league regardless of position and would be a great asset to the Fins offense. Beautiful mock, couldnt have done a better one myself!

Right, okay so the people around him are helping the kid by limiting what he does in his job interviews so that he losses money and losses chances with teams that will now not even look at him.

Stewart may have said to the scouts that he's not running routes but that's coming White himself.

His agent certainly wouldn't want to drive his price down so I would think that he's hiding the fact that he doesn't run routes worth a damn and he only wants to play QB.

Just my opinion on the whole situation because something doesn't seem right.

Real solid mock actually . . . except I'm not a fan of the Pat White pick in round 2.

Jarron Gilbert - DE

Then the mock would be real great.

Good mock except we don't need pat white we need big physical guys and we could go LB with 2a or a WR and same thing with our 1st pick and with 2b we scoop Donald Washington from THEEEEE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. This guy has all the makings of a solid starter as an NFL CB hes 6'0 195 and is raw as hell with the right coaching he can be molded into a super star.

Who would have ever thought that Ginn would be weaned off of KR duties? Amazing.

i can agree with the that a gamble taking pat white so early, but u cant lie, the guy has talent. I love his willingness to play w.e his teams needs him to. i like his athleticism too. if we can somehow get a 2nd 3round pick id get him there that way with the 2b pick we can get BPA. the 1st pick is going to determine our 2 2nd picks and our 3rd round pick.
