In Lebanon, they have standalone Sbarro's.

Sbarro is truly a staple of foodcourts everywhere.

i dont but in the food court in the mall where i live, we have the basics. dairy queen. burger king, chinese food, italian food (sells pizza and pasta. and hotdogs (hotdogs not so much italian but w/e)), and like a cookie and cake seller. no fancy resturants in this food court.

I've been to the one in Pines. Not sure if I would call that a "food court", though.

if u think about it they couldn't put it in the actual food court because of those stones in the back

Sbarro's actually an interesting story. Back in the 70's the 1st one was opened in a new Brooklyn mall (Kings Plaza). As has been written, the store was started by a "family" member as a way to wash his cash. However, its success and those of the next few he opened made him decide to leave the rackets (more or less) and go legit. A similar thing happened to my friend's old bookie years ago in Jersey; he needed a legit business for the same reason and his goombahs helped set him up in a tuxedo rental store not too far from Newark. That startup unexpectedly did great also and a couple years later my friend had to find a new book.

Krystal burgers are really what's affectionately known as the iconic NY based White Castle "belly busters". They're the best (well, along with In N Out). I believe there's still a Krystal down off Sunrise near the Swap Shop.

I am a big fan of the chinese places. I love me some bourbon chicken and orange chicken.

Also, I think Sbarros is good but when people go out to eat at the mall, they want something unique and interesting more than just pizza. But I also am likely wrong.

I dont go to the mall very often, can't stand all the people and having to park like 3 miles away. I never really eat there, but I love Orange Julius. Always refreshing!
