I'm going to make one trade and that's S.Satele for a 4th and future considerations.

Draft

1.

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif Hakeem Nicks, WR, NC
Height: 6-1. Weight: 212.
Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
Combine 40 Time: 4.49.
Vertical: . Broad: .
Projected Round (2009): 1-2.
Hakeem Nicks really helped himself with a nice combine. It's looking more probable that he'll be a first-round pick.

Hands…hand-eye coordination is among best in the draft…has great focus and watches the ball in…those catches against West Virginia in the Meineke Bowl were huge boosts to draft status…physical receiver who attacks ball and beats defenders to the catch…was very productive…big part of UNC’s turnaround season.

2.

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/03/Utah_logo-1.gif Sean Smith, S/CB, Utah
Height: 6-4. Weight: 214.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Combine 40 Time: 4.53.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.47.
Benchx225: DNP. Vertical: 32.
Projected Round (2009): 1-2.
When you're compared to NFL Hall of Famer Mel Blount, you know you're having a great combine. Mike Mayock made that comparison. Sean Smith's 40 may have pushed him into Round 1.

Has great size especially height…is a tough guy with the attitude to make it in the NFL…is a great guy in run support…made big plays on the big stage in the Sugar Bowl…can play safety or corner.

2.

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif Lawrence Sidbury, Richmond
Height: 6-4. Weight: 251.
Projected 40 Time: 4.75.
Combine 40 Time: 4.64.
Benchx225: 28. Vertical: 35.
Projected Round (2009): 3-4.
Even unofficially (the official times are obviously screwed up), Lawrence Sidbury ran one of the quickest 40s at the 2009 NFL Combine. He really helped himself on a day in which numerous defensive linemen disappointed.

Lightning fast in short space...uses his spin move well...very productive, especially as a senior...strong upper body for his size...natural athlete...natural pass rusher...uses his long arms well...good effort in pursuit...shows some ability to play in space, just unrefined...

3.

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/03/SouthCarolina_logo-1.gif Jasper Brinkley, South Carolina
Height: 6-2. Weight: 252.
Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
Combine 40 Time: 4.72.
Benchx225: 26. Vertical: 35.5.
Projected Round (2009): 4-5.
Coming off a terrible knee injury, Jasper Brinkley regrouped and qualified for the All-SEC Second Team.

Ideal NFL ready size and strength...really solid lower body...powerful hitter...shows much better short range quickness than expected from a linebacker his size...reliable tackler who was an exceedingly productive as a collegiate...uses his athleticism to make plays and create turnovers...

4.

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/03/TroyState_logo-1.gif Sherrod Martin, FS/CB, Troy State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 198.
Projected 40 Time: 4.41.
Combine 40 Time: 4.52.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.46.
Benchx225: . Vertical: 36.5.
Projected Round (2009): 3-4.
An All-Sun Belt first-teamer Sherrod Martin impressed with 80 tackles, four picks and six passes broken up.

Martin is another small school guy with lots of ability. He is a hitter and has that big play ability.

4.

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/03/TexasTech_logo-1.gif Louis Vasquez, Texas Tech
Height: 6-5. Weight: 333.
Projected 40 Time: 5.24.
Combine 40 Time: DNP.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.16.
Benchx225: 39. Arm: 34 3/4.
Projected Round (2009): 4.
Louis Vasquez put up way more reps than any other offensive lineman at the 2009 NFL Combine (39).

Excellent size, both in height and weight. Elite pass protector, gave up 1 sack in two years as a starter with over 1,000 pass attempts. Good lower body strength and wingspan to anchor and redirect oncoming pass rushers.

5.

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/03/Florida_logo-1.gif Jason Watkins, Florida
Height: 6-6. Weight: 318.
Projected 40 Time: 5.21.
Combine 40 Time: 5.47.
Benchx225: 18. Arm: 34 3/8.
Projected Round (2009): 4-5.
Thanks to rough competition, Jason Watkins was just an All-SEC honorable mention.

Watkins is a late round guy with some up side, as he does not put his quarterback at risk every time he drops back to pass. But, he needs to be more explosive and play with better pad level. He may only be a back up, but he would provide value for the team that takes him. ( from Universal Draft)

7.

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/03/OhioState_logo-1.gif Alex Boone, Ohio State
Height: 6-7. Weight: 328.
Projected 40 Time: 5.23.
Combine 40 Time: 5.17.
Benchx225: 33. Arm: 34 3/8.
Projected Round (2009): 6-FA.
Despite a down year, Alex Boone was voted to the All-Big Ten First Team. I'd say that's more of an indictment on the conference than anything.

7.

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif Tony Fiammetta, Syracuse
Height: 6-0. Weight: 245.
Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
Combine 40 Time: 4.63.
Benchx225: 30. Vertical: . Broad: .
Projected Round (2009): 7.
Tony Fiammetta caught 16 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. He also had five carries. His strength is his powerful run blocking.

This draft fills the needs of a potential #1 WR, gives us depth at CB with flexibility to Safety, a speed rusher from the outside to split with Roth while developing all facets of the game, a thumper in the middle to compete against Akin, Oline depth and a FB that could really help our power run game.

I like Sean Smith so much that I would consider selecting him #25. I have reservations about his availability at 44.

sorry, but sick of this draft a WR 1st, we will draft 2 cb and 1 OT, we will draft DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Assumming that the top talent gets selected early our FO will not draft Defense for the sake of defense. There's no reason to draft a OLB that's maybe alittle better then selecting one at 2b, there are zero ILB's that will be worth the value to be selected in the first two rounds. CB's are not a huge need in our defense compared to a solid pass rush so waiting alittle gets us greater value once again. We end up getting a great WR for our offense while filling our need at CB.

5 out of 9 picks are on defense if you include our 7th round traded for DL and 4 out of the top five picks are on defense. If you want to neglect the offense then what good will a top defense do you, it didn't do anything for us in the JJ/Wanny years!!!!

I don't think Smith will be there at 44, but lucky us if he is. Also, I have a feeling Boone won't even be on Parcells draft board.

Other than that, really like it!

Defense is the biggest issue as far as I am concerned. I think that the best LB or CB/S available should be the 1st pick. In saying that, obviously the player would have to be 1st round talent. Ray M, Cushing, Laurinatus, etc, or Smith, Davis, Moore.

I am not a huge fan of Matthews due to his lack of starting experience, but if he were there with the 2nd 2nd round pick, then yeah, grab him. (He won't be there, but if he is...).

I don't think that WR is such a problem. Penny is such an accuarte QB, he really brings out the best in what we have, and I don't want a 1st round WR. Again, late 2nd or 3rd round pick would be OK.

So, defence should be the priority. At least with the 1st 2 picks.

I'd say that Sidburry and Brinkley are both reaches at those spots. Other spots seem to be decent. I really like the Sherrod Martin pick. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us grab him around there.

I would prefer robiskie or heyward bey than nicks, and I'am all for brinckley, he was a beast before his injury and he's just weight and height liked by parcelle anc co.

I don't think Smith is going to be there at #44. I have us taking him in round #1.

Best draft i have seen! Boone may not be in our team's design, and i think the FB gets picked before the 7th, but very very good
