Looks like every Monday before the draft,EA will unveil a few possible cover athletes for Madden 2010. No phins have been considered yet but we will have to check in on Mondays... Would you want one of our guys on the cover? Maybe Ronnie? Joey? Chad?

Thus far Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback for the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, Brandon Jacobs of the New York Giants, Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings and Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens have been revealed as candidates. Each also has a moment from last season that's called their "Fight For Every Yard Moment" which, of course, is EA Sports' moniker for this year's Madden

Off the top of my head - Ray Lewis

I have heard rumors of Larry Fitzgerald, which would really suck as he is one of my favorite players and my keeper in my fantasy league.

The only guy that has any hope of making a cover is Ronnie, and thats only if Madden decides to make the wildcat a big part of the game this year. Chad and Joey dont have a chance. Chad wont because hes not a flashy player, and Joey wont because he plays defense.

I thought Brett Favre played all 22 positions for Madden's dream team...no?

Someone who fought for every yard. I think bess had a few plays where he fought hard for what he got. Too bad he couldn't be on it.

They'll go with Adrian Peterson.

Seriously. I don't ever want to see a Miami Dolphins player on the cover.

They either get hurt, retire, mysteriously suck, or face murder charges. Some may claim that the curse is not real, but I'm not whistling through the graveyard.

Ray Lewis was on the '05 cover which means the '04 season. So i dont believe in that BS, because he had a darn good season.
In 2004, Lewis was named 1st-team All Pro by the AP, 2nd-team "All Pro" by College and Pro Football Weekly and Football Digest, and "All Pro" by The Sporting News. He finished the season with 146 total tackles, 1 sack, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 fumble forced, and 6 pass deflections.

This thought has never come to my mind actually. Isn't it strange that arguably the greatest player in our decade has never made it on the Madden cover?

I could be wrong, but I believe the so-called "curse" applies to the upcoming season, not the previous.

I dont think the Dolphins have any players worth mentioning to be on the cover of Madden. Porter does not deserve to be there since Harrison was clearly a bit better. Ronnie went to the pro bowl thanks to the fan voting. Jake Long? LOL

Pretty sure Madden isn't the head of the marketing department and Madden simply collects royalties at this point lol.

By the way, outside of Miami, most people hate the Wildcat and refer to it as a "gimmick" offense.

i have a feeling john madden himself will be on the cover... i mean, the guy is retiring, might as well give him a last honor by putting him on the cover of his own game lol

i know madden is just a spokesman for the video game, but still ... retirement of madden + madden game = put his *** on the cover

This argument is a stretch to say the least. Ray Lewis broke his wrist at the end of the season and missed like three games the year he was on the cover of Madden. He still was voted to the pro-bowl after playing a year of excellent football to that point. But those Madden fanboys love to make up this Madden curse garbage, Favre didn't even miss a start.
