What's up guys? I was laid off in October of 2008 and still haven't found work. My back ground is in the IT field and I have an Associates Degree for Computer Network Engineer. I live in Miami, FL. I've been sending out my resume and also visiting places. I got a couple of interviews but nothing more.

If any one knows of anywhere/anyone who is hiring please let me know, PM me with any details. Also if you guys know of anywhere else I can go and drop off my resume.

I want to go back to school to get my Bachelors Degree in Bus. Administration. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

If you've ever considered overseas work and are willing to tavel to potential danger zones such as Iraq or Afghanistan, there are a number of companies hiring contractos for work in your area of expertise. Some of these companies include...

PAE Group
General Atomics

I know that some of these overseas postiions pay in the area of 150K...if you're interested that is.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

It sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place... times are sucking dude... If anything, I would try and get a lower paying job just to tide you over until you can find a job that may be able to pay you better and is involved in your area of expertise.

If you could somehow find a job that you can use to help you get back to school, I'm sure more schooling will only help your current situation. One thing that may sound idiotic but may assist you is taking out a loan to pay for your education. Student loans are a great thing because no matter how much you owe, they can never take away your education. I understand going into debt is rarely a good way of getting ahead but sometimes it might be the best way.

I would definitely consider taking a job you hate just to get some more schooling... with that said, one would also likely begin to drink again... or more heavily... or to the point of black outs...

Whatever you end up doing, always remember to put the saftey and well being of you, your family, and those who love you at the top of your priorities.

I know you may look at my age and think "ah, he's just a 17 year old" but I think my advice is wise and whether or not you end up taking my advice, always know (and I think I speak for all of us at FH) that we care about you and want you to succeed.

Be safe, Behave and protect yourself. I will pray for you tonight in hopes that you can get your career on the right path once again!
