Play him at QB, FB, HB, TE.

Actually, if you are going to run the spread, especially for an 18-game season, you are going to need someone else that can run it effectively.

Plus, think how many roster spots he would save. Great value for one pick.

Drafting a QB in the 2nd rd is becoming a long upholding tradition and one of this franchises hallmarks

No Tebow.

I just realized something. In 5 seasons we have used 5 2nd rd picks on QB's

2005 AJ Feely
2006 Dauntee Culpepper
2007 John Beck
2008 Chad Henne
2009 Pat White

This has got to qualify as some kind of wierd triva question

If it wasnt so sad I might find this list funny.

Why??????? We've got Pennington as our QB of now, Henne as our QB of the future, and White as our Wildcat specialist. Besides, I doubt Tebow drops out of the first round.

Mr. Limpet
04-28-2009, 11:02 PM
Yeah, that's sort of why I said 2nd round. Of course, if White is really effective this year, Tebow's stock might go up to a first rounder.

Anyway, I'm not kidding about picking Tebow.

He would be ideal in 3rd and short situations where White's small frame would be a disadvantage.

He could come in when White is nicked up or line up as a fullback or tight end.

He would also be an asset on special teams.

Great value.

Yeah, and let's sign Matt Jones and stick him in the backfield too.

Matt Jones only completed 55% of his passes. There's better options.:)

Draft Tebow in the second?

You think he'll still be there at the 64th pick?

utahphinsfan

So in 3 yrs the phins draft Terrelle Pryor from Ohio St?

In the meantime, I wonder what JC Watts and Antwaan Randle El are doing?

I dont care who we sign as long as we use a 2nd rd pick on him. Consistency is important if you want to win championships

Yes, I would draft Pryor. He's a great, great athlete. He would make a great WR.

Watts and Randle El weren't very accurate but I would love Randle El as a slot.

Sarcasm my friend. For example, when the Titans drafted Vince Young & Lendale White in the same yr, I posted elsewhere that the Titans have just picked up a really good TE & someone to do quality control for the team buffet.

Name the last Florida QB that has succeeded in the NFL. NONE. I would like to see a guy slide like Herzilich, Kindle, Weatherspoon, Lindley, Brandon LaFell, Martez Wilson. I think we def go DT or LB/DE in the first round next year. And if we take a QB and it cant be Bradford I think we could go with Jevan Sneed. He has all the tools to be the QB of the future.

Parcells & Co just might; Houston Nutt used the Wildhog @ Arkansas w/ McFadden and Felix Jones.

I am almost certain he used a version of it @ Ole Miss last season.

Mr. Limpet
04-29-2009, 11:04 PM
Jevan Snead will be a hot commodity. Some have already listed him as a 1st round pick for next year.

I haven't seen him play enough to give an educated opinion but his 56.3% passing accuracy isn't very impressive.

Plus, I doubt he would be as versatile as Tebow.

Pick up Michael Vick and plug Ronnie and Ricky back there and we could go Flying V all over everyone's *** with White, Brown, Tebow, Vick and Williams a la Emilio Estevez's Mighty Ducks.

I think Fulton Reed and Dean Portman could rush the passer better than our defensive line. So maybe we should. Bash Brothers.

how many 2nd round QBs do we need to draft? beck, henne, white.. and now you want tebow? we need to look at other positions now that we got our QBs... if he fell later in draft i would consider it but we cant keep drafting QBs.

I think Meier from Kansas in the 3rd or 4th presents a lot more value. Matt Jones with better accuracy and no drug problem.

You would lose 5 yards on the first play because he would forget where he is and start snorting the chalk lines.

The idea of a 3 QB wishbone is pretty damn intriguing.

What I like most is the different styles of the 2 running QBs. White = fast, elusive. Tebow = more physical.

I can see alot of cool things you could do with something like that.

As for all the Tebow haters, lol. Cry me a river. I know your upset because (Insert major college that can't win a national championship) has a QB that doesnt get any recognition. But don't say the kid can't (Choose as many as you want: throw, make reads, be a "pure" pocket passer, play in the NFL without injury, run a traditional NFL offense, or play QB in the NFL) because you are tired of the media attention he gets and/or gets the results your (Insert major college usually outside of the SEC) can not.

It's ok to be jealous, really:)

Ricky4Life
05-06-2009, 06:00 PM
The kid can play. He just needs to work on grooming himself to be a better QB. I still think he is better then any QB that came out of the Draft this year with Stafford, Sanchez, etc.

Of all the idiotic statements I have read on this site this really takes the cake.

Tebow is a much much better prospect than Pat White is. You better believe that if Tim Tebow came out this year and the FO was choosing between Tebow and White, Tim Tebow would be in the Dolphins lockerroom.

He is getting trained by a proven NFL quarterbacks coach, he has absolutely incredible ability to hit open holes, and his strength truly is second to none. There has never been a QB like him. He's not as fast as pat white, yes, but while he is a high 4.6 guy compared to Pat White's mid 4.5 ( and White is more shifty, mind you ) Tebow has a stronger arm, and is leaps and bounds stronger. He will get 4-5 yards every single time with the occasional 15-25 yard sprint where as Pat White will get you 3,8,-9

when the hell is tony sparano going to call a play that gets -9yards??... if tebow is getting 5 yards a carry we can draft him in the first round and not resign ronnie brown i guess? lol, we wont draft him we have how many qb's? well probably pick up a 5th rounder to udfa kid next year to be the 3rd stringer

You understand that last year with the wildcat there were plenty of plays that went -5,-6 yards, right?

When you have a guy who is more of a shifty guy in the backfield, you run the risk/reward of big gain or big loss. Look at a great WR reverse..
