SNOHOMISH, Wash. The Snohomish City Council may decide Tuesday night to trim the budget by laying off a member of the police force Dixie the drug-sniffing dog. Dixie finds drugs and money for the reward of playing with a chew toy.

If that city takes care of its dog like the Navy does, those dogs are expensive to maintain. Though the value of a good drug dog vs the cost is not even comparable. My dog Moosey found almost a pound of pot in a barracks locker last week. No mans nose is that good.

If they turned around and sold that pound, it could pay for the dog.
