i know it's a one year old track, but it's crazy good and i decided since the electro/house music wasn't being talked about, or shared by my fellow fin fans, i decided i'd start it up with some BOYS NOIZE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK3jGjiaLho

mixed with some pryda (vid from call on me though)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cI5JDHvwG8

i know the states aren't sold on that stuff, but i also know there's a lot of european and canadian dolfans, so enjoy

if no one checks it out, then so be it, i did my part for the welfare and continuity of that great train-wrecking music :D

a little dose of Trance here... although i'm more of a house/ electro music listener , this one is a smooth masterpiece that i love a lot (it's pretty old, but like any good song of any musical style, good tracks never get old hehe)

boys noize is not bland at all... the song though sounds a lot like daft punk but it's still a great house track

Prydz's rakfunk is a "love it or hate it" track... i love the old school sound (kinda like some 80's/90's disco/dance) it has mixed with a kick-*** bassline

Guetta well, yeah he's pretty mainstream... but it's enjoyable, very club-friendly

i'm not a huge fan of DNB or the other styles you refer to, but there's one groupe that deserves to be talked about and that's Rob Swire's group; pendulum

speaking of which, rob swire did the vocals for a deadmau5 track that is awesome (yeah, it's also a very mainstream-public-friendly track, but it kicks ***) :

some prefer the version without the lyrics though...

Cudi FTW

Show guetta some love, that guy is tearing it up since the last 2 years... probably the best mainstream DJ house music has had since daft punk, the thing is, he keeps innovating and adding new stuff or artists to his tracks...
FYI, BEP's song, tonight's gonna be a good night, was largely inspired by guetta's "love is gone" ...

cudi is very good also, don't get me wrong... day N nite is the **** (although i'm getting tired of hearing it over and over lol i work in a club so ... )

I may be going out on a limb here, but try listening to something other than Day N Nite...

But honestly, Cudi is really coming into his own and doing some creative stuff. I was ready to stop listening to Hip-Hop until I got into Cudi (although I wouldn't necessarily call his music Hip-Hop)

i know the song isn't nothing extrodinary, but the fact that his original song has inspired the top track of the summer and the billboards goes a long way to tell how good his beats can be ...

yeah guetta and BEP are pretty mainstream and club-friendly songs, that's not impressive... the thing that is impressive though, IMO, is they both keep innovating and creating new stuff that tops the charts year in and year out... wether you like the style or not you've got to acknowledge their success and creativity

i've heard a few songs here and there... mind if you link his best songs that are still relatively unknown ? Don't give me that "make her say" track bull****... that song is so overrated lol

excellent, amazing, marvellous, new track by one great house music producer;

here's something a little smoother... although it's an old track i didn't hear about it until yesterday (probably because those type of tracks aren't played in clubs ... )

very nice and simple track by benassi (the adam K & Soha remix makes it 10 times better, which is why i linked this version.. )

and the last addition of the week... a remix i found of sia, a wonderful singer who wrote the song " The girl you lost to cocaine"... Sander van doorn remixed it and gave us some badass house (heavy basslines like i've never seen, and darn good too... i highly recommend listening to the track with a big subwoffer, it makes a huge difference)

Went to a Deadmau5 show in a club in quebec city... that guy is seriously something to see, he's one ****ed up live performer

which is surprising because usually DJs are good at one thing, either composing or mixing... very few of them can do both and do it well, van buuren, daft punk and tiesto come to mind... when you're getting compared to those guys it means a lot (especially from a relatively new guy to the house scene)

anyways... i highly recommend checking out those tracks, which are his best

and there are much more that i can't think of right now...

here's the guy performing @ the dagobert (where i was) ... that mouse head is the **** hahaha
