It's cool to see a player spend a whole career in one city, in my opinion.

I agree completely although signing a long term contract hardly guarantees that. The last years of the contract are usually the most expensive and in a lot of cases, come at a time when the players career is winding down. Look what happened to Zach Thomas. 12 years in Miami, 7 Pro Bowls, a million tackles, and even he was cut to save a few bucks. I always thought (hoped) he would be a career Fin but now he's on his 3rd team.
