Lets please remember boys and girls, this is a childs toy...a game if you will.
Say it with me now "Its not real. Madden is a game and is not real. Nor does it have any affect upon the outcome of anything real or in life."

So lets try to keep the dark monster down in his hole.

The new ratings this year have already been confirmed to be waaaay lower then previous years. I wouldn't be surprised if this were real.

Wow madden thinks we have a horrible d-line but i think they gave back ups low ratings so people wouldnt be subbing players the whole game and just keep the starters in.

JC

Why would they make them that low?

I'm not buying this game

These are the real ratings ive seen them on many sites. I only really have a problem with the fact that our D-Line is so bad. Don't expect to have a stout run D or many sacks with those ratings. I disagree whole-heartedly with those ratings, especially JT with a 79, he was rated a 94 in the last madden update for 09. Though they are saying that players that are 96-99 are lowered to like a 91-95 and only the elite of the crop rate 97 or above. All players are lowered around 5 points because the ratings last year were inflated. Hey atleast we have the most intricate wild cat packages, I've ran it on the demo and should be effective, you can put whoever you want, wherever you want. Ginn at QB!!

Look im a big madden user (not so much a fan)
the rating this year are very different
most player ratings are real low because they are trying to make the better player (Manning, Peterson, Fitz, and so on can really dominate the game like they do in real life

guys like Ronnie that are in the top part of the league but quite don't dominate will see there ratings dropped

then of course they have big misses like Will Allen come on he should be at least an 80 even though he does slip a lot (he needs better cleats)

I fell ya.....ever since 2004,I have always had this dirty, unsatisfied, abused feeling everytime I wasted good money on this pathetic excuse for a football game, that is known as "Madden".And,happily, this will be the first year since '05 I will not be purchasing this debacle of a video game....

BRING BACK 2K!!!!

my bro, who is an avid MAdden player and unfortunately is a Rats fan said the ratings are off and this years Madden sucks.. Im not going to be buying it.. IMO the game has gone downhill since like 2006. The late 90's early 2000's were the best versions of madden.

Yup, they're real. They stretched out the ratings this year. Now I don't understand how Will Allen can be rated lower than our rookies, or how Phillip Merling and Matt Roth are both in the 60's .. but it is what it is. I'll still get it..

Wow, these ratings are ridiculous....I'm not upset at the fact that they downplay our team in a video game, I understand it's just a video game, but it does ruin it for those of us who like to play this video game.

I look at these ratings and think that it is impossible for this team to have won the AFC East last year with those ratings, cause thats what Madden usually does, is they go based on last year...Didn't our kicker only miss like 2 field goals? and he is rated that low?....I'm sure the Patriots have higher ratings....this is F***en ridiculous!

If anything ginn' 78 is one of the fairer ratings, what has ginn proven to any1 that he is better than average? 78 is an average score...

The head of EA sports (Peter Moore) is huge cheatriots fan so i wouldn't be surprised if they have artificially inflated numbers.

Here's a good read....

It’s that time of year again when millions throw down their hard earned dough on ES Sports Madden NFL Football. This year, the pricetag will be around 60 bucks but more importantly you don’t have to wait until the August 14th release date to know your Miami Dolphins individual player and team power rankings. We have them right here right now. All other teams are listed here.

The Dolphins finished atop the AFC East last year with an 11-5 ranking and division championship. That was hardly enough for the boys and girls at EA to give the Dolphins any game cred. The team is ranked with an overall rating of 77. That is one more than the Buffalo Bills rating of 76, one less than the NY Jets’ 78. The Patriots sit with an unreal 93. The best rating on this years game. The Patriots have held the best or one of the best ratings the last 5 years.

For Miami, the good news is that outside of the Madden universe, the rating means absolutely nothing and it will be interesting to see how the folks at EA have incorporated the Wildcat into the game and what schemes they have given defense to use against it…in particular the Patriots.

While this has zero affect on the real football season, it sure is fun to see what you can do online against Maddenites from around the world. Whether your on XBox, PS3, PS2, or PSP, one thing is for certain…if you play, you likely have already payed

I agree the majority of these rankings are quite screwed up. But that being said teams like the cowboys and chargers I do believe are more talented than the phins roster. Just lack the coaching to put it all together.

im not even worrying about this.. it seems like 75 is an average player.. Matt Roth is Low yes.. but other than that everything seems fine, ted Ginn is rated higher than all of our corner backs and im going to assume that the dolphins have pretty good corners in the game with Above Average Safeties..
Nobody is a game changer Except for Joey Porter and Ronnie Brown.. but lets Face it who Changed games last year??? ... Davone bess is a little low but once he catches a few more balls than all the other "73" receivers they will surely raise him up instantly considering there going to do roster updates once a week

the thing that most stuck out to me was that will allen rating. 75? really? vontae davis has a higher rating then will allen. thats messed up

What jumped out to me was Allenman being a 73 and Thomas being a 67?? WTF, then EK being a 57. EK was better than Allenman, and neither was in the same league as Thomas. Other than that I don't have a big problem other than Will Allen and maybe Ronnie should be higher.

I have always thought they should bring down the ratings so the 95+ meant something.

People that are pissed just have to remember Madden ratings stink every year. That is why before I even play the game I go through every team and boost or drop players to where I believe they should be. Only difference with this year is I am going to have to play a game and see how these ratings actually affect gameplay.

I am happy and hoping this will stop 290lbs DL that can catch up to a HB like they did in that horrible piece of crap that they call madden 2009.

But everyone has to remember you do not like the ratings change them yourselfs its not that hard.

OMG. Do you guys not understand? They revamped the ratings to make the all-stars stand out more. We are very fortunate to have recieved these ratings, so please, stop freaking out.
