21:Jerry Hughes,OLB out of Texas Christain(6'3",257)

[Hughes has the makings too be a dominant force, that of Demarcus Ware, former Troy OLB.Ware, whom had a similar build as Jerry, was drafted by Dolphins czar himself,Bill Parcells. This pick,as I see it,can really only go 3 ways.Outside/Inside linebacker, or Safety.

Miami has more than enough D-linemen who are more than talented enough to get the job done,so thats a position we can dismiss.Next come O-linemen,and we seems to have our future set in place, still, some guys repeatedly get injured,so this position cannot not totally be unaccounted for,but I'd rather doubt it.

Henne seems to be the guy,and Miami already has 4 WRs under the age of 25,and Camarillo is about as reliable as it gets.We took Sean and Vontae last year,so I would has theres not a chance for a corner. Now,that leaves NT,RB,TE,OLB, and ILB.

Soliai is good enough for us not to worry about NT for a first round choice, and Ronnie should be back next year(due to what looks like a no CBA bargaining agreement in-place).Now were down to TE,OLB, and ILB.

Fasano could be had cheap, for what we'll get outta him,and Sperry is a very intersting player, not to mention we took Nalbone, whom Sparano seemed to covet, and Haynos is a good blocker. And then there were 2....

At ILB,as you all know,we have Channing Crowder and Akin Adoyele.I like Crowder enough to think that Parcells will keep him throught his remaining years of his contract(3 years,$20M).Akin,on the other hand,is very servicable, and wouldnt phase us too much.At OLB,we have a 32 year old,and a 35 year old.Jason,35,is only signed for one more year.

Said he'd like to come back, but with his age,Cams emergence, and possibly future prospects,I just dont think it'd be a good idea to do so.Porter, the other linebacker,is signed for 2 more years, and very well could be in jeopardy after this season,as with no bargaining agreement, releasing Porter would not hit the Phins,as much as if there were an agreement.

This is probably the cloudest of positions on the team, and with a prospect like Hughes available to us,I'd be hard pressed to think they pass on him.]

53:Morgan Burnett,FS out of Georgia Tech(6'1",210)
http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/12/BurnettM_20081011_A_DJJPG-1.jpg

[So far in the trifecta drafts, they've taken our most pressing needs into account, and fill them. However, there is a pattern in their drafts,so far anyways. In 2008,instead of taking a QB,or a WR or anything liek that, they went with Philip Merling. Now,was it a need?

Yes,however one coulod argue there could have been better candidates for the pick, hwoever afterwards,Ireland stated,"a very good value" speaking of Merling.Merling was originally thought of as a top 15 pick, but fell too us at 32.I see the same thing with Morgan.

Is it necessarily a need? Yea,but not as much as others. However,Morgan possess good talent, and should translate his game very well from college to the pros.Im expecting Gibril to be let go in the off-season,especially if they admitted their mistake in signing Wilford last year.]

85: Marcus Easley,WR out of Connecticut(6'2",216)
http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif

[As it stands right now, most talks now are that hes a 4-5th rounder, however w/ him being 6'2",216 lbs. and reportedly run a 4.40,hes going to going to wtach his stock shoot up quickly, especially come combine, the shrine game, and the skills challenge.]

117:Chris Walker,ILB out of Tennessee(6'3",232)
http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif

[Obviously 232 isnt the kind of weight you want in an inside linebacker, however most linebackers arent the weight the organization wants them to be.However, thats whats OTA's and off-season work-outs are for.Sparano can build him up to appropriate size, and groom him into a future starting ILB.

Chris has the motor, and the drive you look for in a linebacker.Hes got sideline to sideline range, and is an excellent pass rusher. One thing I will say is he needs to get stronger. In order to have success in a 3-4,you have to be strong enough to get off blocks.]

165-[from Kansas City) Alric Arnett,WR out of West Virginia(6'2",189)
http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/12/vu12083008-1.jpg

[Big play threat, who definately has the make ups to eb a deep threat.Runs hard routes, and a fighter. He came from the junior collegic ranks, and is now tearing it up in WV.Hes set to graduate, and has the intentions of pushing himself to be a good WR.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_un5ltQsjE ]

167-[from Wasington) Abe Koroma,NT out of Western Illinois(6'3",317)
http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/12/46424159-1.jpg

[Big dude, who is pretty athletic, and has a ton of upside. He transferred from Penn St. to WIU,for reasons Im uncertain of.He seemed to have a lot of promise at Penn, but something most have happened, for him to transfer,He forewent his senior season to come out,so Im sure the NFL draft advisors told him he had something to offer NFL teams this upcoming draft.]

181:Antony Allen,RB out of Georgia Tech(5'10",231)
http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/12/50053037-1.jpg

[Good back, who should add good depth for a position that is unclear for the long-term.]

197-[from Kansas City) Larry Hart,OLB out of Central Arkansas(6'1",248)

[My sleeper pick, right here.Parcells went with Folsom in the seventh, and I think they go for another sleeper, cause they guy looks to have to talent to get off the ball quick, and seems to accelerate fast and make th play.Check out his flick.

213-David Pender,CB out of Purdue(6'0",176)

http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2009/12/192439-1.jpg

[Nate Jones may or may not be re-signed.Whether he is or isnt,I dont see MIA re-signing Jason Allen,so it would be wise to take another player with some skills,to hopefully stick around, and become something.]

good draft, but i think we will see a running back in the first 4 rounds and i dont think olb is the most needed position with taylor and porter likely coming back and wake has been showing good progress. I like taylor mays in round 1 and jonathan dwyer in round 2.

how is it likely that Taylors coming back when he only has a one year deal?

and you evidently think Porter will be back?

Wake is doing good, but all of his plays have come from the DE position, not OLB,and theres no real way to tell if he'll ever make it.Theres just too many question marks to think we can go into a season with a 32 year old OLB who cant make sacks unless its against 4th string OTs(CAR,BUF,TB,etc.),and I just dont know if Sparano is gonna wanna extend Jasons contract.

our OLB are on the wrong side of 30,and Taylor Mays isnt going to be at our 21+ pick.As for Dwyer, speaking on Parcells history,2nd round for RB is not gonna happen. And Miami is gonna have Ronnie back most likely, and Ricky will be here aswell, not to mention we have Cobbs, and Hilliard on contract.Taking, yet another RB would be ludacris.

I like the draft outside of the two WR's, you even stated we have 4 WR's under 25 so why would need more? I really see that taken care of in the FA period.

I think they'll take another OLB alot higher aswell.

Enough of this flyer WR BS. WR is a need so address it or dont. Dont get Easley-who is really bad BTW in the fourth. Same with a running back we have 4-5 RB's. Why waste a late on one. Get some backers early and some meat up front later.

Not bad, I really want Hughes but like stated I think we will address LB again earlier in the draft.

What makes you think Morgan Burnett is going to declare only to drop to the mid-late 2nd?

And where are we going to put all of these WRs?????

By most accounts Burnett had a pretty disappointing season. He may still come out, but I think he'd probably return for his senior year.

I like the Hughes pick, but I would really like to see us take a WR somewhere in the first two rounds. Golden Tate or Mardy Gilyard would be nice additions.

ditto. I dont think we will take 2 WR's. And if we get one in FA, thats it. None will be drafted.

It will be LB, NT, LB, RB, TE (later rounds), OG/C, WR (2nd rounder likely should we not get a FA WR), DE, S

This regime "doubles up". first year two DE's. Last year, two CB's. This year, two maybe even 3 LB's and if they work out wonderously, someone with the initials JP will be traded IMO.

I would be jubilant over Hughes then Gilyard. That would eliminate a weakness on both sides of the ball IMO.

I would be too, but I doubt it happens. I think Hughes, Gilyard and Tate will all be gone before we pick for a second time. I wouldn't mind taking any of those guys in the first.

For me, Hughes is the 2nd best OLB prospect available; Brandon Graham is my #1. He led the nation in tackles for loss, and in four games against ranked opponents, he piled up 15 tackles for loss. He's big, strong, and explosive. He'd be perfect to start as the SSOLB opposite Wake next season. I definitely wouldn't complain about Hughes, though.

I don't see us drafting a FS.

In the 2nd, I see us either going T. Cody (think he'll be there) or WR. There's a chance that A. Benn will still be on the board, and if he's not, Lafell and D. Alexander should be.

In the 3rd, I like Micah Johnson from Kentucky.
