View Full Version : Ruepert's offseason wishlist

Well now that the offseason is here, it is time to look ahead towards 2010. It will most likely be uncapped, so free agency will be pretty skim. Some cuts I see the team making are Joey Porter, Akin Ayodele, and Yeremiah Bell. Like Bell better then Wilson, but I believe they keep the younger Wilson over YB. Trading Ginn along with a 6th rounder for a 4th round pick and Camarillo getting us a 6th rounder. Out of our UFA's I think JT and Nathan Jones are kept.

Free agent signings:
WR: Malcom Floyd (SD)
G: Dimitri Tsoumpas (Canadian League)
NT: Ryan Pickett (GB)
LB: Karlos Dansby (ARZ)
FS: Antrel Rolle (ARZ) I believe he will be cut.

I think Rolando McClain will be our target but IMO will be gone so a trade back for more picks will be the best solution. Somewhere around 20-24 spot, hopefully adding a 2nd and 5th round pick.

R1: LB: Jerry Hughes (TCU)
R2: WR: Arrelius Benn (ILL)
R2: TE: Anthony McCoy (USC)
R3: LB: Joe Pawelek (BAYLOR)
R4: LB: O'Brien Schofield (WISC)
R4: SS: Barry Church (TOL)
R5: CB: Patrick Stoudamire (W. ILL)
R6: DT: Jay Ross (ECU)
R6: G: Reggie Stephens (ISU)
R7: WR: DeMarco Sampson (SDSU)
R7: LB: Anthony Lewis (TEX A&M)

I think the D needs a lot of work and we need playmakers on O (as does everyone else I am sure). Channing Crowder is our best inside backer, which isn't saying much, and his foot injury concerns me going into next year so that is where I think Dansby will be target number 1 in FA.
