Graham Thrills Scouts

Michigan DE/OLB Brandon Graham (http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=4233380&yr=2010) showed great speed and a strong swim move working against Virginia Tech OT Ed Wang in one-on-one drills. Scouts are raving about him

One for the Vols

Tennessee DL Dan Williams buried USC

Taylor Mays Physical in Practice

USC's Taylor Mays (http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=4369990&yr=2010) was the most consistently physical and successful CB on that last drill in the South Practice. He uses his hands and upper body really well during initial contact at the line. Mays is behind only Tennessee's Eric Berry in
Byers Shutting Down Cody

USC offensive lineman Jeff Byers twice kept Alabama defensive lineman Terrence Cody tied up so long that Cody looked worn out after the second effort. For all the cody fans out there.:aww:
Washington Disrupting

TCU LB Daryl Washington, Scout's fourth-ranked middle linebacker (http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2010&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=65), has spending most of day in backfield
LB Sean Weatherspoon (6-2, 245 Ė Missouri): Missouriís play-making linebacker took early control of the defense this afternoon. He was the on-field vocal leader from the start. It looks like his leadership qualities at Mizzou are transferring over to the Senior Bowl right away. Weatherspoon will see a lot of reps on special teams as well, something that is an important trait for linebackers in the eyes of NFL scouts.:hi5:

Truth be told, the only players at 12 I'd consider good value probably wont be there.I hope Miami pursues trading down, because Graham wont make it too 43,and hes the best SOLB available....

Of course Tebow is going to stuggle which is why the Jaguars taking him at #10 is laughable. The Jags will take him in Round 3 though

At #12 I love me some Earl Thomas, CJ Spiller, Rolando McClain, or Dez Bryant. At #43 I love me some BRandon Graham, Brandon Spikes, or Jerry Hughes. I also love me some Jimmy Graham, Torrell Troup, Brandon Lang, and Rob Gronkowski

Any chance Graham drops all the way to the 3rd because of his tiny arms? Also, I thought Blount looked pretty quick for a big guy. I've heard all sorts of projections on him - from 2nd to 6th. Where do you see him going, and would we be interested - assuming it's in the later rounds?

baseballcb95

Or CJ spiller, Jermaine Gresham, and Demaryius Thomas (12, 43, 74)

Also, the NT/DT from UNC looks like a legit prospect. They were talking about him moving up in the 2nd or 3rd, but I think he'll be worth a serious look in the 4th.

Wouldn't mind Thomas in the 3rd - depending on what other players are available.

i have no idea on blount...my guess is he goes pretty late because of the suspension and what not...just like i have no idea on andrew quarless with all his off the field character stuff...i probably wouldn't take blount personally til the 6th...

i don't see a shot in the dark personally that graham would fall to the 3rd round...way too good a player

cam thomas been high on him and troup both...but not 2nd round high imo...and likely not 3rd but i could see troup in that discussion

i was hoping we might be able to sneak thomas or troup or both in the 6th...sounds like that was a pipedream now

i'm in wait and see mode right now with d thomas...have real questions about his speed...guys staying in their back pedals an awful long time and staying with thomas down the field in the stuff i've seen

I'd rather have Thomas in 4th than Cody in the 2nd . . . or - in light of recent evidence (photo) - the 3rd. I don't see any Kris Jenkins or Vince Wilforks in this NT class. So, I'd rather pick up a space-eater in the mid-to-late rounds and spend the higher picks on ILB, OLB, and maybe WR, FS, and TE (obviously, a lot of that will depend what we do with trades and FA's).

the only one i'd take right now in the top 2 rounds picks thru pick #43 for sure is dan williams...

i can't wait to see how he looks in practice reps tomorrow...

i think i'd agree right now that the 4th round barring taking williams is where i might place the value at the position...

We would have one hell of an offense in 2 or 3 years . . . but this defense would be horrible once again. I don't mind being not the greatest while we let the youngsters get reps, but I hate being terrible on D, and not much of a future (outside of CB and DE) on the field.

I have been preachin to anyone that will listen that I see the FO, making over the LB corp.

I wont be surprissed to see them go 1-2 with LB's, as for NT I dont see any quality guys there after Williams, maybe Price UCLA but he seems more fit for a 4-3.
