The Broncos announced Tuesday that they have moved their game this fall against Virginia Tech to Labor Day. The nationally televised showcase will match the kings of the Western Athletic Conference and the perennial contenders for the Atlantic Coast Conference championship. Both teams finished last season in the top 10 of The Associated Press Top 25.

Not a bad move at all. Gets them some great exposure.

I was hoping it would stay in October, so that people could not dismiss a Bronco victory as "Virginia Tech hadn't gelled yet" or "they're not the same team now" as they did last season with Oregon.

But hopefully we're all past that. :)

I didn't buy that excuse last year and won't buy it this year. VTech notoriously plays their best football at the beginning of the year and fades late. Alabama just kicked the crap out of them. Boise State may have one of the best offenses in the country next year. Watch out Hokies.
