As a gesture of solidarity with my fellow mid atlantic FH'ers, I turned my central air off - well at least for an hour but the humidity got a little too uncomfortable. One for all and all for one!

Well, we got more then expected and it still hasn't stopped yet. We have about 24" on the ground now and could get up to around 30" before all is said and done.

I have no idea how much has fallen yet but I do know shoveling it sucks :)

Correction ... Make that 12 inches. It's just now tapering out. My buddy up on the hill has 21 inches - cursing & shoveling.

Having fun laughing at those who have to shovel their puny little cars out. I love my truck!

There have been discussions at my work today that they may close tomorrow. Would be the first snow day I have had in my four years working here.

What a bunch of wusses! Sheesh

Here in SE FL, they're predicting an unseasonabe cold front coming in tonight with lows dipping into the 40s. Manning up and gutting it out, I've got no intention of turning on the heat!

Well Ricky, I wouldn't go that far, maybe as tough as liquid nails. But the fact remains that at some point you've got to man up because conquering cold and the elements are merely mind over matter. (hmmm, probably shouldn't wear my sandals out tonight, eh?)

Oh, and here is an interesting fact.

There is snow on the ground in 49 of the 50 states. There is no snow in Hawaii. usually, there is snow in hawaii on those high peaks, but for some odd reason there isn't this year. I imagine this is the 1st time recorded where there has been snow on the ground in 49 states.
