I think a better way to do this would be to have a draft time each night that runs from like, say 7pm ET to 12amET in which each GM has 20 minutes to make their pick, we get through a bunch of picks in not much time then, if you know you can't be on that night you send in your big board to PhinPhan910 with 5-10 picks you want. That way we can move this along a little faster...anyone like this idea?

Well you have to figure it a little this way it's a long time for the real draft to take place so what's the rush...?

Not 24 hours tho!....lol

I like Nick13's idea, providing everyone can agree to a time.

Thats the best idea, but no way you get 32 people to all agree on a particular time and also some just wont show up. Now if you gave 16 people 2 teams each (say one gets the Rams and also the Steelers) it would have a better chance of working with lesser numbers and the people invovled have more picks.

But it would be much better if you could get 32

with the 3rd pick, the Buccaneers select Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma

we're pleased to land an anchor to our defensive line with the 3rd pick.

That was my original idea, but then people started saying "well im not gonna be there" so I did it this way.

I have been following requests all along so I might as well not stop here. I am busy today so I don't know if we can use that idea today (unless one of you wants to try this for a day). If not, we will use this system untill tomorrow. (or later if nobody is around)

Edit: everyone, just send me a big board with the top players you want depending on your draft spot. (ex. the colts will give me a draft board with their top 29, so atleast 1 player will be there when its their turn to pick.)

Ok after trading the number 7 and 92 pick for the number 4 pick the Browns select Jimmy Clausen. With a new regime (me) comes a new QB. Replacing one Irish QB with another. Btw this puts Quinn and Anderson on the block

The seattle seahawks trades a 6th round pick and deion branch in order to swap with the kansas city chiefs to select:

Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State

the chiefs were most likely going to take Okung and the seahawks make sure they get thier guy, the future franchise left tackle for years to come. the best tackle in the draft could go as high as 2 to the lions. now matt hasselback can return to his 2007 form with time to throw the ball.

im not trading a third round pick to move up 1 pick. this thing is impossible to do trades unless you have your entire draft as ammo.

To avoid holding this thing up even further, I'm going to give my 1st and 2nd preferences for the Jaguars pick, as I dont know when I'll be back on here.

1st Choice: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma. Hard to turn down someone like Bradford here, especially when the Jags need a QB, as Gerrard has proven to be only above average.

2nd Choice: Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan. Bit of a reach here, but the Jags are in desperate need for a pass rushing DE and Graham is the best guy available.

any team who wants sam bradford, thus leapfrogging the jaguars, can have the bills' pick for the right price... i'll take offers up until 11:00 pm (use private messages please, so that this thread sticks to posts regarding the selection of players. I will edit this message once a trade, or my pick, has been made)

edit: Since the bills did not find any suitors, due to the lack of general managers during the draft process ( lol ... :bobdole: ) , the bills were forced to pass on a trade possibility and opt to keep the pick

The buffalo bills select Sam Bradford and are thrilled to have found their new franchise quarterback. With that in mind, let it be known to all (but bradford himself, we don't want to stir things up with him ! ) that Bradford is available for any team interested. The pre-requisite to have bradford is a first-rounder, the other components of the trade will be determined through negociations...

Sean Weatherspoon, LB, University of Missouri

A sore spot on our roster. We need some consistent players who can be versatile and Weatherspoon is just the fit for us. We kept our options open at the safety position but our prospects quickly came off the board. Easy choice for us to make.

Its no secret that wide receiver is an area that we wanted to address early, and we feel like we were able to do that with Benn. His rare blend of size and speed sets a pretty high ceiling for this kid's potential. We're thrilled to have him.

Do all the cheerleaders in tennessee look like busted strippers?

Not nearly as bad as half of our team's owners looking like busted strippers...

We really need to make a time when EVERYBODY needs to be here to get this thing done.

If they cant be here, they submit a board to pick from.

This is dragging out too long.

With the 26th pick, the Arizona Cardinals select Jermaine Gresham, TE, of Oklahoma.
The best chance for Leinart to succeed is to surround him with as many weapons as possible like the good times at USC. With Fitzgerald and co., the Cardinals now have a vaunted TE in the game to make the passing game unstoppable.

Sorry I wasn't able to sign on before I was out of town for the past few days...

I am going out of turn, but I know the Cowboys are not taking a RB, but just like the Vikings a few years ago Dallas should drop a spot down for every 12 hours we go with a out them picking.

With the 27th or 28th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the San Diego Chargers select RB Georgia Tech Johnathan Dwyer. With LT gone the Chargers need a powerful back to have a complete back field with Sprools. They could go Best from Cal, but he is sliding and I think they will like the size and speed of Dwyer.

No...The creator of the draft said there is a 12 hour limit. Per NFL rules if the team does not draft in the allotted amount of time the team after them moves up to draft in their spot. After that it is a free for all, as team behind the original team can draft as long as they get their pick in before the team that let the clock expire.

I get sensitive when referred to as "dude." It is name that should be reserved for Jeff Bridges in the Big Lebowski. I got the sarcasm I just wanted to push for the draft to move on past the Cowboys.

Damn I know yall hate me for taking so long, I couldn't find this thread for **** the other night, I thought the game was over, ughhh :err:

With the 27th pick in the draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:

Mike Iupati - OG - Idaho

Kid probably is the BPA for Dallas, and he was a beast as a guard, but his versatility could allow him to play tackle in the NFL. Dallas is thrilled

To me it was a bit of a toss up..., i don't think this guy has reached his floor and I don't like the shorter CBs..., the Vikes need CBs and I would likely take another with in the second too..., with the same philosophy as the Dolphins last year...

This is getting long in the tooth. stuff it, I will pick. If they dont like it, **** em....

with the 29th pic, the NY Jests select........

Golden TATE, WR, notre dame.

Reason..........Braylon Edwards is inconsistant and Sanchez will need a good sized WR with good speed to blend with over the next few years. To me, a straight up easy solution, however, with the pending acquisition of Cromartie from the Chargers for a 2nd rounder in the 2011 draft, WR was the biggest need.

Next...Colts & Saints.

Yeah, I remember calling him out on that one. The Dwyer pick was pretty bad too, but he's still got a shot at being an impact player.
