This is the 1st of many offseason topics I will be exploring.

I believe the Manwich/Sloppy Joe debate is regional, in other words it's all depends on where your from. I'm born and raised in SW FLA and was brought up on Sloppy Joe's so thats how I gotta vote.

Tale of the tape

Manwich:
Introduced in 1969 by Hunts

Slogan:
A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Manwich is a meal.

Sloppy Joe:
Introduced 1934 in the Florida Keys (at Sloppy Joe's Bar and Grill)

Also known as a "Wimpies" in some parts of the country

There can be good and bad sloppy joes. Manwich is always good.

BTW the next topic I will touch on will be Mayo vs Miracle Whip, someone has to ask the tough questions.

Neither one.

The strangest thing about that is Miracle Whip is supposed to be a salad dressing? It says it right on the label, I can't imagine eating Miracle Whip on my salad.

Nor can I. I've never known anyone to eat it like that either. Maybe Macaroni Salad?

yeah that would make more sense, I've always thought M-Whip tasted like mayo that had turned bad or like mayo mixed with battery's.

I've just never had a like for either one.

Neither one.
Miracle Whip is total garbage, but Mayo is an absolute must on sandwiches.

And yes, I can definitely tell the difference.

Sloppy Joe, to answer your first question. To answer your second question, it's clearly Mayo. There is a definate difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.

Sloppy Joe's of the 2 choices but when it comes to messy burgers, the legendary Original Tommy's Chile Burger in Van Nuys leaves both in the dust.

I'm neither a fan of Mayo nor Miracle Whip unless necessary as a recipe ingredient. If on a sandwich, I'll substitute some nice deli mustard or some salsa instead.

Def mayo, can't stand Miracle Whip. It's un-American.....

And as a Flo cracker, SLOPPY JOE'S all the way. The sandwich and the bar.
