Weatherspoon (6-foot-1 1/4, 239 pounds), a senior, has a well-established reputation. But as well as he played at Missouri, he looked even better running drills Thursday, running a 4.53 and 4.52 40-yard dash and posting 35 bench press reps.

Those are some helluva numbers. If we trade down and don't sign Karlos Dansby, I would not oppose drafting him.

Don't be ridiculous. We may have to trade up after his combine and pro day performances.

His film and body of work are excellent.

The only thing that was left for him to show was some extraordinary athleticism, and with 35 reps and a couple of low 4.5's, he has more than done it.

If he went top 10 it would not be a reach.

He is smart and a natural leader.

The ONLY thing he lacks is a couple of inches of height.

Anyway, my hope for the longest time was that he would slide through the 1st round and we could get him by trading up in the 2nd with the Rams.

That ain't happenin.

I am now on board for a draft Weatherspoon with the #12 if he is there.

I really hope we draft him if Dez Bryant is off the board I think he is going to be a stud at ILB.

Anybody think he can play Outside in a 3-4? If we get Dansby, that's where we would really need the help. I havent seen enough of him to know if he'd be good for OLB in a 3-4. I've noticed he's pretty good in coverage and he's all over the field, I dont recall how well he blitz's tho.

why not sign Dansby and draft Weatherspoon ???

if that happens be rest assured Ayodele will be on the first thing smoking out of MIA and that way Crowder can be a role player (let's not kid ourselves we didn't really dish out "top dollar" to re-sign him last offseason)

how bout it????
