The Dolphins have been spending time with several under-the-radar receivers in case they don't draft one at No. 12 or 43, and prefer one with return skills. They had a private session with Ohio's speedy Taylor Price (a potential late-second or third-rounder), running him through punt and kickoff returns. The Dolphins met with Kansas' Dezmon Briscoe and told him they want a private workout.

Briscoe is a diamond in the rough. KU's offense sucked last year and he still managed to do well with 1,337 yds. He torched Iowa St, Colorado, Texas Tech, and even Texas's amazing secondary this year and did anyone watch his final game against Missouri? He had 14 rec. 242 yds!!!!
Lets look at his stats
2008: 92 rec. 1407 yds. 108 ypg. 15.1 ypc. 12 tds.
2009: 84 rec. 1337 yds. 121 ypg. 16.1 ypc. 9 tds.
and 2009 was with an inconsisten QB
He's big, catches everything, can you imagine Henne throwing to him
PLEASE DRAFT HIM!!!!!

Maybe I've missed it, but there doesn't seem to be much word on us meeting specifically with WRs.

The Dolphins are looking for a receiver with return skills? Don't we have a couple of those already? Bess and Ginn? Bess is fine in the slot but an adequate punt return guy at best. Ginn- my take is that he's been pointed towards the door and is now simply waiting to feel shoe leather make contact with his buttocks as he's kicked out the door. Imo they're not looking for a WR with return skills to lessen Ginn's load- they're looking to get rid of Ginn.

Briscoe could be a 3rd or 4th round pick depending on how the workout goes.

Bess is reliable but average and Ginn can be explosive but unreliable. Yes we need a gret RT guy. Remember Spornao did not complain so much about the WR production hurting them as much as missing a speedy TE like they had the year before that could split the field. Look for a speedy TE in this draft along with the OLB I first 4 rounds of this draft. Actually 2 OLB and a TE with a NT or safty somewhere thrown in there and in the 6th round more safty or NT of whatever position they missed in the first 4 picks. I see it as OLB, Safty, OLB, TE, NT, ILB, WR/KR and Safty, CB, RB/KR.

If we need a WR return guy that tells me that Ginn is basically done. I will add that PR needs an upgrade over Bess as well.

Briscoe will be a good NFL reciever and has the tools to be elite!

briscoe is just another patrick turner or denario alexander...no burst or acceleration no ability to separate in and out of cuts...

a waste pick in the first 4 rounds imo

If they're not gonna go early then i'd rather see them just go late and get someone like Terell Hudgins. We have enough middle of the road recievers already. Hudgins broke Jerry Rice's recieving record so there is definitely some potential there.

What are your thoughts on Price?

I'd rather draft a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round. These guys can have just as much upside as Dez Bryant without the character concerns.

i like price...i think he's a top 5 wr in the draft...

ran a 4.4 flat at his pro day has good size at 6 ft 200 plus lbs...had the second fastest 10 yard split behind jacoby ford of the wrs at the combine showing he has explosion and burst off the line...

i don't think he has great hands but i don't think he has brandon lafell hands either...plucked the ball out of the air at the combine in drills...

a willing blocker has a feisty attitude and doesn't back down...

i think he has 1a wr potential as a pro...i have a solid 3rd round grade on him and maybe even late 2nd round...

i'd say he needs to work on his route running some seemed to round off some routes at the senior bowl and combine...

(PRICE) - He is good but doesn't seem to be much of a YAC guy, at least the video footage I have seen. Kinda reminded me of Hartline as far as speed goes (I konw hartline didn't run 4.4 or whatever just saying, game speed looks the same).

I am really high on Benn, reminds me of a Boldin type just like Tate, a big time YAC/RAC WR that is physical in terms of getting that extra 2 yards. I hope he falls to 43.

I have Thomas and Benn behind Bryant and Tate behind those 3. After that....I just don't know.

I'm no fan of Ted. As for possibly drafting Price, Maybe he'd handle return duties and slowly be groomed for the WR corps.

That way Ginn could focus on WR in this his IMO make or break season.
