Is Lamaar Houston big enough to play NT in our system? I see him as a 4-3 DT only.

This is how I think it will pan out .....not my own choices.

Who would you take if it panned out this way?

I would go:-

D.Bryant, N.Allen, Austen Lane.

Pinkboy
04-01-2010, 10:06 AM
Earl Thomas, Jason Worilds, John Jerry.

or-

Derrick Morgan/Brandon Graham, Nate Allen, John Jerry

but I think Nate Allen gets selected before 43.

John Jerry. I think we got bigger needs but I like the idea.

I also think Allen may go before then, poss Cowboys o KC, but if it pans out this way id be ok.

BP has always drafted undersized NT. Besides Solai we had Fergie and McDaniel playing there. When Starks was signed he intimated that he would split time between DE/NT but he was outstanding at DE.

There are alot of very bad picks in this draft. Just to name a few, Jimmy Graham going before Arron Hernandaz, Pitta, and Dickerson. Benn in the third round? He will most likely be the second receiver taken. And all of the Dolphins picks.

Every single one. If we were running the 4-3 defense and didn't have a single need on offense it would make sense to take those guys with the first 3 picks. Not the case.

Why not take Mitchell in the 3rd and make it a S. Flordia sweep?

I applaud you for taking the time to do 3 whole rounds, and no offense, but this mock is pretty bad. You have Golden Tate almost in the 3rd, Arellious Benn in the third, and some other bad picks.

If this happenened, I would be terribly angry at the first pick, I'd be alright with the 2nd, and i'd be Cursing uncontrollably that Benn got picked right before us.

there is no OLB prospect worthy of the 12th pick. Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas is where the value is at. Even Iupati would be better value then any of the OLB's in this draft.

What you think?

1- JPP
2 - N.Allen
3 - L.Houston

Not a fan of the first two picks but I do like Lamarr Houston who went to high school here in Colorado Springs. He has a good nose for the football like Sergio Kindle, and he actually was a 260 pound running back in high school, so he is a good all-around athlete. He would be a good pick in Round 3.

negative on the mock we need a WR in at least one of the first three rounds.... JPP? Don't like him

jpp is not a dolphin and benn will be way gone before we pick in round 2 horrible mock

normaniii
04-02-2010, 02:09 AM
I would not want JPP!

My draft would go - dez N.Allen, L.Houston.

Its easy to say a player will go before then, but have a look at the mock and track back and tell me where these players will go.

McClain & Spiller.

Broncos biggest need is at ILB after losing A.Davis and signing FA all across the D Line (unless they lost Marshall).

We know how much Del Rio loves to run the ball and he does not have a genuine no.2 backing up MoJo, who still on occasions returns punts. Spiller would provide an outstanding 1/2 for the Jags and instantly improve special teams and eleviate the load from MoJo.

I stand by J.Graham being taken before others mentioned.

I agree Benn is a 2nr round receiver, but when you take each pick on its own merit I did not have him going anywhere before 3rd and I too would be devestated seeing him go one pick before.

the finz will NEVER take a guy at #12 over all who only has
7 games of ncaa college ball.

and dont give me any of that juco crap.

nate allen is a decent pic.

3rd round? bout time for a wr pic wouldnt you think?

I like grabbing the NT Linval Joseph in the Third round. Robert Johnson, FS in the fourth.

Like this:

1. Dez Bryant, WR
2. Jerry Hughes, OLB
3. Linval Joseph, NT
4. Robert Johnson, FS
6. Nolan Carrol, CB
6. Kam Chancellor, FS
6. Travis Goethil, ILB
7. Jeff Owens, NT
7. Brandon Carter, OG
7. J'marcus Webb, OT

Keep Smiley, Sign David Martin, Jason Taylor and Ken Hamlin.

That's a team right there.

I am not crazy about JPP....yes he has a lot of potential but we don't need "projects" we need starters. I don't know much about Nate Allen, but we do need a Safety (I am partial to Rashad Jones of Georgia). I do know a good deal about Lamarr Houston as he went to Doherty High School here in Colorado Springs. Houston was actually a 260 pound running back in high school and moved to defense at Texas. He is a very good tackler and run stuffer and I wouldn't hesitate to take him in round three.

wouldnt be surprised at all if we got John Jerry in 3rd. Sparano is our HC. We need a G like no tommorrow.
