SI.com draft analyst Tony Pauline finds it hard to believe that Dolphins GM Bill Parcells is seriously interested in Clemson RB C.J. Spiller.

"For all his great athletic ability and for all his game-breaking skills, when you watch him over the last three years, he's a very soft running back," said Pauline. "He's not a guy that I think is going to be a featured back at the next level." Parcells is known for targeting big, physical players, though he did value scatback/returner Dave Meggett highly with the Giants and Pats.

I tend to agree that it is smoke. In 2 drafts, the Trifecta appeared to have minimal interest publically in Jake and Vontae.

Parcells isn't drafting anybody. Ireland is. And Ireland won't draft him because I just don't think Ireland believes that RBs are valuable enough to take high in the first round. Jeff Ireland tried to trade Ronnie Brown for Braylon Edwards even after Ronnie brought the Wildcat to the NFL forefront. That tells me all I need to know, really. Of all the Parcells draftisms that people go on about that aren't really proven, the one that I've heard Parcells confirm out of his own mouth is not taking a draft RB with a high first round pick. I think that's rubbed off on Jeff Ireland.

I think that the thought of the Fins taking a running back with the 12th pick is...... just ridiculous

I tend to agree, but I wouldn't be shocked if they took Best in the 2nd.

Ireland and BP of the school of thought. BP raised Ireland in this business and wouldn't have hired him if they didn't have the same philosophy in building a football team. With that being said keep in mind BP teams usually have a scat back. We have a lot of power coming out of the backfield, but we greasy fast speed. I could see Miami going after Spiller or McCluster.

The only player I see us taking at 12 if we go offence is Bryant and right now I'm not sure they'll go that way......I'm thinking they'll go OLB or safety if they stay at 12.

Ozzy rules!!

Or a pass rushing terror from the outside.

I think the Dolphins could definitely go after McCluster. It's been hard for them to veil their interest in him.

You can take Morgan, Earl Thomas, CJ Spiller, Iupati of our board due to the interest weve shown. (taking the last 2 drafts into account, they like their pick secret)

You can take Haden, Clausen, Bradford, Bulaga, Okung, Williams. off our radar due to need.

You can take Graham and JPP off due to size requirments (Graham) and being a one year wonder workout warrier (JPP)

You can take D. Williams off due to value and being a 2 down player.

and your left with Berry and Dez as the best options.
