View Full Version : We haven't met with Dan Williams because we love him or hate him?

To me the fact that we haven't met with williams means we either love him and don't want anyone to know, or we hate him and aren't going to waste our time.

I don't think there can be any other reasons. It's very hard to tell with this FO. They are very good at disguising what they are going to do. We all remember Ireland's "we want to build our defense around him" gaffe. He even turned red after saying it.

Honestly, I now think that we're going to wait on a NT until the 2nd, and Williams probably won't be there.

I hope it is because they hate him.

I wouldnt mind him, but not at 12

Have they met with Cam Thomas yet?

if we swap picks(#1's) with dallas then t cody will be our #1 pick

At the 12th pick can he be an everydown nt or just a 1st and 2nd down player? Because if that's the case then I don't like that pick at 12.

i have REALLY been trying to cut this regime slack.

last year was COMPLETELY miss handled and even sparano
said he did a poor job of getting the young players ready
to play [like pat turner and cris clemmons]

if they dont pull the wildcat out of there colective arses the year
before, we may have been looking like the 1 win team of the
previous year.

and we still appear to be ho hum about going after any skill players
that can put much needed points on the board. [and they are available!]

if i was betting my pay checks for the month, i would say that DAN WILLIAMS
is the pic. they didnt meet with jake long, not once. they didnt do any amount
of talking with vontae either. [they did with smith though!!]

just from what i see now out of sparano, dan williams will be the pic. thats what
i would bet my money on.

NOT the pic i want, and i think if they do pic him it will be the begining of the
end for the trifecta. as of right now, this team in NO WAY looks like it will be
a true contender by the time parcells 4 year plan is up next year.

taking a dt [not even the best dt in the draft] at #12 over all to come in and
play maybe the hardest defensive postion, with NO experiance doing it, is
not the kind of pic you make when so far, your plan hasnt come through as
expected and is on short time.

way to many other players who are PROVEN at there positions that will be there
for us at #12 that we need. nt isnt our ONLY need. and NOT the top need either.

but yeah, them NOT meeting with him tells me more and more that he is probably
going to be the pic. expecially as soon as the senior bowl was over and the players
and coaches were not even on the plane yet it was being said all over that sparano
was head over heals in love with dan williams.

i REALLY hope not. i really do. i am a dolphins fan first and foremost and i want the
best players to be brought in. so i am hoping williams isnt the pic and the finz brass
isnt the second coming of wanny as they appear to be right now.

Because Sparano and Co. coached him during the Senior Bowl, and they probably saw and heard all they needed to form an opinion.

if we swap picks(#1's) with dallas then t cody will be our #1 pick

THIS makes much more sense.

heck, if the finz are dead set at taking a NT and have that position as the
#1 need, then i would just as soon take cody at #12. he is a TRUE nt who
has actually played the position and DOMINATED.

he is HANDS DOWN considered the best and ONLY true nt in this draft.

so why is he such a reach at #12 and a guy who isnt even considered the best dt
in the draft and NEVER played nt before the better, safer pic?

that is a HUGE reach. if your going to reach for a nt, take the guy who has spent
his college days doing it and dominated at it, TERRANCE CODY!

Dan Williams will be just a mediocre player in the NFL, I stand by that statement
