A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week.

Certain people of all religious backgrounds. They're in good company. A ginger threatened them too.

The Koran clearly states, "thou shalt not show the prophet Mohammed in mascot costume of thy bear." They brought this on themselves.

Remember the teacher that got 50 lashes for naming the toy bear Mohammed.

I did not see the South Park Episode but I would guess this is what the parody was about.

These "devout" fundaMENTAList jackals embody all the reasons I'm an anti-organized religions Deist. They can produce the most offensive, insensitive, threatening and hateful cartoons and other materials demonizing the US and the Western World, our presidents, whomever they may be, Norwegian cartoonist, Indian authors, Israelis, Jews, etc. yet they get their burkahs in bunch and declare mortal fatwahs on anyone having the temerity to poke fun at their religion or prophet. Screw em.

Gotta love it when a peaceful religion threatens your life.

There was a Cleric in Iran a few days back who said all of the volcanoes and earthquakes going on recently were because women weren't wearing traditional Islamic garb.

Well yeah, you always get to blame something bad happening based on pissing off or revolting against an entity or being you've never seen. It's the easy way out

Exactly.

It's easier to cast the stone then look at the reasons you are casting it and solve it.

The world is becoming someone else’s problem and someone else’s fault.

Keep in mind, what those clerics say in Iran hold about as much water as if Mayor McCheese said it.

This guy makes these types of statements all the time in Saudi Arabia. Hardly anyone takes them seriously though.

I just tried watching the new episode online over at southparkstudios.com. And there was a note saying they couldnt stream the new episode unedited because Comedy Central put in additional bleeps during the original airing. So until they get persmission the only way to watch it is on Comedy Central.
