A nun was kicked out of the Catholic Church for approving an abortion in order to save a pregnant woman's life.

According to a National Public Radio report, Sister Margaret McBride approved the abortion for a 27-year-old woman who was 11 weeks pregnant but suffered from a serious heart condition. Doctors said the woman faced near-certain death had she continued her pregnancy at the Catholic Church in Phoenix last November.

This nun shows compassion for a woman who could die if she gives birth, and this is the treatment she receives from the church? So typical, it's okay for priests to rape children, and it's okay to poison the minds of the masses with stories that are in all honesty, mere fiction. However, it is totally unacceptable to help save the life of a young woman? Only the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church shows such a severe inflexibility on their rules that it is hard to take them, and most adherents to their faith, very seriously. At some point you have to be pragmatic. Is sticking to your ideals worth it if it kills the mother? It is just as bad as the Jehovah's Witnesses that try to keep their kids from getting blood transfusions at risk of death.
