The University of Miami led the way among schools in Florida in academic progress rates for its football, men's basketball and women's basketball teams, with UF and UCF posting strong showings as well.

Overall, the NCAA Academic Progress Rates released Wednesday show schools across the country have made progress across the board, but football and men's basketball still lag behind all the other sports.

The report showed the multiyear Division I APR is 967, up three points from last year. In football, the average four-year APR is 944, up five points over last year; men's basketball is 940, up seven points.
