Now, this is a real Favre Watch (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/brett-favre/). We’ve reached DEFCON 1.5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DEFCON).
And now for the latest hint that Brett Favre is returning: His official site, officialbrettfavre.com (http://www.officialbrettfavre.com/), is unavailable.
Presumably, this is because of overwhelming traffic after his message was posted: “Stay tuned for breaking news from the Minnesota Vikings today on Brett Favre’s possible return. Visit the Vikings.com and Officialbrettfavre.com for more information.”
I’m not lying when I say that NFL Network producers are currently engaged in a conversation as to whether the plane Favre is on is stealth, or trackable by radar. One of our news editors suggested hunter extraordinaire Jared Allen should have placed a tracking device on Favre during their reported meeting, you know, just in case. Did Allen, Steve Hutchinson and Ryan Longwell go The A-Team (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_A-Team) on Favre and drug his milk (copyright fantasy blogger Adam Rank (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/adam-rank/)), or was it more Old School (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0302886/fullcredits) style (you’re our boy, Blue, uh, I mean Brett) where they pulled up to the curb in a black van?
Lots of questions.
We really need to have a special red phone that rings only for Favre Watch. As always, stay with us at NFL.com for the latest.

We all knew this was coming, but today just might be the day. Here's to week 2.

Yep, right on time. The annual "Brett Favre says he's going to retire..BUT WAIT...he's not" circus has come to town.

It would be great if the next time he "retires" ESPN would just run it on the bottom line, instead of devoting a week to "Favre's Greatest Moments".

What would be so great about that? People LOVE this Brett Favre stuff. That's why ESPN talks about it all the time. Ratings go thru the roof when Brett Favre is making headlines. I love this Brett Favre stuff. I hope he plays forever.

i want him dead. the not mentoring aaron rogers thing was selfish as hell but i could've forgiven it. maybe even a year or two of indecision. but now? he has shown time and time again that he is bigger and more important than whatever team he is holding hostage and needs to get fugging euthanized.

i used to only hate the patriots and everyone associated with them. the jets i severely dislike - and i pity the bills. leave it to favre and his infatuation with himself to indecision his way onto my 'hate' list. good job you fugg.

This is no surprise. I think all knew he was coming back, but he just loves the attention.

Yeah, that's why he hangs out on a 400 acre farm in the backwoods of Mississippi. There's just tons of attention there.

Have you seen the palatial estate accompanied by the farm?

He needs to be lobbied then escorted back? What a freaking diva.

ESPN comparing Favre to Hamlet? Appearantly, Olbermann and/or Dennis Miller still write script for the network.

I hope Koa Misi hits #4 so hard that he lands inDenmark.

All-in-all, I'd rather hear about Favre than LeBron. The network in Bristol shoud be known as E!SPN.

LOL. and when he wasnt getting the attention he so craves this off season, he sends txt msg's and then denies sending them. Brett, its just downright pathetic at this point. not even remotely amusing for me anymore. please die while in a pair or Wranglers.

It should be called that.

Who reported those text messages? Not Brett. Blame your media dude. Go to the source of the problem. And actually, the source of the problem is YOU. You the fan loves it. Ratings prove it. ESPN talks Brett Favre, ratings sky rocket. Emails flood radio shows when they talk Brett Favre. It's all about ratings man. And if you dudes weren't watching it, they wouldn't talk about it.

LOL.

Who cares about the palatial estate? What the hell does that have to do with ANYTHING?

You dudes make such a big deal about Favre sitting out and missing training camp. If training camp were such a big deal then Hutchinson, Longwell and Allen wouldn't have missed it to go hang out with him. It's training camp. Training camp is for rookies and guys looking to earn a spot on the team. It's not a big deal. The NFL is looking to cut out the majority of training camp and preseason games anyway.

But it's a BIG deal because he's not showing up. He's "holding the team hostage" lol. Whatever. Minnesota has the upper hand. Brett has no power in this. Minnesota can tell Brett to **** off at any point they wish. But they don't. And they won't because they know they'll be TRASH without him. Ask Green Bay. They told Brett Favre to **** off. They went 6 - 10 without Brett after going 13 - 3 the year before with him. Brett matters. He's an NFL Hall of Famer. Owns damn near every QB record worth discussing, NFL MVP, Super Bowl Champion, NFL legend. And people are upset because he's not in training camp? 20 year veteran not in training camp. Hurting the team. Give me a ****ing break.

I hope Favre plays forever somehow.

Get 'em JC.... I've always loved Brett Favre...

Oh and Utah... Brett Favre will ***** slap Koa Misi on his *** and tell him he's been hit harder by women during foreplay... then he'll throw his 5,000,000,000th touchdown pass right behind that...

Man I swear...usually I just shake my head on message boards when people just go off the deep end about something like this but all of this unwarranted hate for Brett Favre just burns me alive lol. Dudes start hating on Brett Favre and I'm coming after 'em.

There's a select group of individuals in sports that I will defend to no end:

Brett Favre
LeBron James
Colin Cowherd
Nick Saban

That's about it.

I can't wait for Favre to come back this year... I also can't wait for him to get rocked and leave the field as a vegetable.
