Not as a professional but as a hobby. I'm looking to find some software to help me on this digital harmonious escapade. So far i've checked out Virtual DJ, Cakewalk and Fruity Loops. Would love to try Garageband but unfortuntely I don't own an Apple yet. Has anyone here tried to create and mix music using your PC? If so , advice is more than welcomed.

Yep. I was drunk when I quickly realized that the monitor does not work as an improvised snare drum.

FL studio is used by a lot of producers.. you can download a demo version of it. Accessible to everything, you just can't save your stuff.
