Awesome, that really weakens their offense. No more need for over the top safety help.

Most likely draft picks hopefully nothing more then a third. Don't the pats have Oakland's first round pick this year

why would the pats do that? trade him a year early before he falls off? I doubt this happens and if it does than you might as well throw Tom Brady in the deal as well.

Maybe because hes a free agent after this year and instead of letting him walk their trying to get something for him

retire with the team you started your career with.

Damn. The Vikes would instantly become Super Bowl favorites, again.

And Brady would go back to being a below average QB.

Are you serious? Am I hearing correct that my Fins might never have to deal with Moss again. Haleluyah! Sorry, but their are some players you never want to see again as a Dolphins fan and Moss is one of them.

By the way Jay Glazer is the one reporting it, it does not get more solid than Glazer.

Especially after what he did Monday night. I don't really consider him a threat anymore... 3 years ago, that's another story.

i hope it happens before Monday night vs the jets so revis can fake his hamstring injury again.

anyways, am i the only one that thinks that somehow the evil belichick will benefit from this some way and the pats will still be strong?

When Sidney Rice comes back him and Moss with Favre and Peterson....watch outall i can say is thank god we played them already. also though, why would moss want this? he should ask the pats for an extension now and take Wat hes given, considering that he prob wont get any big guaranteed money from the vikings due to the pending labor stoppage.

i wouldn't complain having him off the pats obviously, but does moss realize that favre isn't the same favre and that after this year he prob will be done playing[ although with favre who knows]? in New England hes got Brady for at least another 5 years.

my guess would be they would get a 2nd rounder and harvin

It's not necessarily that.. they just don't really need him anymore. They have so many damn weapons now, that they figure they might as well get some value out of Moss while they can.

If it happens the Pats will undoubtedly get far more than they should. Every year they seem to screw some desperate team (see Vikes receiving core) and end up with 2 number 1's and 2 or 3 number 2's. We talk about the Pat's time being up, but I know I saw a bunch of young guys on that field last night that are going to make them solid for years. When Brady's time is up I just know they'll have the ammo to move up and get that year's best QB if they choose. I curse them but they really know how to work the system.

I'll hold my tongue on how I think we have done over the years.

Couldnt agree with you more, they know what they are doing. With this rumor they are saying that they didnt have plans on resigning him anyway, so why not get a 3rd or 2nd with a player? They have stockpiled picks for years and time will tell if they will pan out. With the way the pats draft, they probably will.

Let me get this straight, you guys think that Brady becomes mediocre b/c he doesn't have Moss? The same guy that won 3 Super Bowls without Moss? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that there are rumors of Randy leaving but it doesn't change the fact Brady is in our division.

Looks like it is pretty much going to happen. Trying to see if Moss can work out a deal with the Vikings.

I hate how the Pats manage to rebuild while winning. They already have 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and now probably 2 3rds in next year's draft.

This would be great, seeing Welker as a #1 option:lol2:

Of course Brady has won w/ less so I will still never count them out as long as #12 is their QB.

They don't draft well though, they have hit on a player or two here and there but for the most part they have mostly missed over the past 5-6-7 years. They can stockpile all they want, their best player is getting old and they only have som much time to build around him.

The difference now is that their defense isn't anything what it used to be, and without Moss now they won't be able to score nearly as much. Their offense becomes much easier to slow down.

Vikings at Patriots... Week 8.

First and foremost, I am estatic to see Moss out of the AFC East. Say what you will about Welker, he's not the element Moss is. Neither is Julian Edleman.

Brady has won with FAR less at WR, however this is definitely a questionable move.

You really think Beli would have traded him in division? Maybe to the Bills
