View Full Version : Fantasy Superbowl Lineup.

I have half an idea for a thread that might be a bit of fun. This years' superbowl lineup was pretty good with U2 on the halftime show, Mariah Carey providing the half hour long view of her gorgeous person singing the national anthem, we had the farewell from the Pat Summerall and John Madden tandem, Paul McCartney on warm up.

What would be your ideal superbowl lineup. Anything from the TV shows, the announcers (do you see yourself in the booth as expert next to play by play guy Dan Marino for example), the fantasy celebrity cheerleading corps, the halftime show, the ideal superbowl matchup?

Mine will follow when the other half of the idea turns up in my grey cellery.

I really like this one. Something to lighten up the arguments going on in the lounge.

National Anthem: Britney Spears (she can't sing for her life but you can at least look at her) :)
Announcers: John Madden and Stuart Scott (he would be a good commentator)
Halftime: Ja Rule (it would make a good halftime show)
Matchup: Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints

Man that is one long card....Lets see if I can measure up...

Pregame...Simpsons!!!!! you nailed that one(Malcolm in the middle would fit nicely too!)

Warmup: Aerosmith

Nat'l anthem: Should be someone whom can command respect and dignity and not make it a freak show. Whitney Houston did great.

Halftime: U2 was awesome this year, I think Metallica would do well also(I know they're not "pop" enuff though) Billy Joel, Garth Brooks would also be a good combo.

Announcers: Dan "The Man" Marino and Jimmy Johnson ( a show unto itself)

Studio crew: ESPN's NFL Primetime crew

Matchup: Phins 28 Philly 10

Cheerleaders: I dunno...maybe make this like a pro bowl. Have a website and vote for the cuties.

That about wraps that up.

Halftime: modern Punk-Pop extravanga with Blink 182, Sum 41 and Green Day :band: - ending with a reunion of original US punker - The Ramones :rocker:

Matchup: Miami Dolphins vs. St. Louis Rams

I saw Aerosmith do the halftime show two years ago with N Sync so I think Aerosmith should be banned from the Super Bowl halftime show.
